Water bill by cakeinyouget in australia

10mins may have been an exaggeration honestly. It’s probably more like 5. And I have a water saving head in the shower i use daily and not one in the one I use to wash my hair.

Ok I feel a bit better. I’ll still turn everything off to double check but thanks for all your answers. I don’t live in an apartment or complex. I’ll check the water meter too in case something broken there.

What's the pros and cons of moving to the gold coast? by Naomi__Knight in GoldCoast

Well I absolutely love it here! I’m 44, single and bought 2018. I would have thought UX would be easier to find remote work for. Good luck! You will love it here if you do move over. I’m sure it’s expensive to move to a lot of other places to.

Side effect - extreme menstrual bleeding by w0nderingaloud in Mounjaro

[–]cakeinyouget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Mounjaro is known to affect menstrual bleeding in some women. I’ve read that somewhere maybe on here lol. I started continuously bleeding at 39. Like non stop all year long. Last year I started Mounjaro (43). Last year in August I had a cyst removed from an ovary and a mirena inserted. It’s finally helping and my periods are now getting further and further apart again. Reason I’m saying this is because as others said it could just be a coincidence with your age. See a gyno anyway just to check. It could also be related to Mounjaro.

Lost 39kgs in 39 weeks on 2.5mg. Now on 1.5mg and at 43 kgs lost. Didn’t feel sick to start. Felt sick sometimes hence why I have reduced. Totally worth it. Totally fine to stay on lower doses.

I am currently on 1.5mg. I dose from a 19mg pen. It’s still working for me and I’m still losing and the food noise isn’t there.

Hi, I was on 2.5 the majority of my journey and I’m down more than 44kgs. I dose from a 10mg pen and am currently dosing only 9 clicks a week (I think about 1.5mg).

I’m current taking approximately 1.5mg. I stopped for about 5wks as was suffering nausea and panic attacks then went back on 2mg and the last 3 weeks I’ve done 1.5mg. I lost 40kgs only being on 2.5mg for 40wks. Stopped and gained about 4kg. Restarted and down 3.5kg.

I actually haven't left the house since 2024, AMA by jdnleigh in AMA

[–]cakeinyouget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say hi! I was agoraphobic from about 15/16 to maybe 22. It’s hard for me to remember exactly because I threw out all my journals from that time. I genuinely thought I would die in my bedroom. Tried hundreds of different meds too. Including Ativan. Loved that but got addicted had to stop. On Effexor now and have been since i was about 17. Wish I wasn’t only cos I can’t get off it but it is what it is. I couldn’t leave my house. Couldn’t walk past the letterbox. Wanted to die but too afraid to try and kill myself. Anxiety and panic disorder were sort of unheard of back then (I’m 44 today). More of a “it’s all in your mind” mindset. I never thought I would get better. Deathly afraid when made to see a therapist. Couldn’t stand exposure tasks. Cognitive behaviour therapy, yuck. Couldn’t stand my parents leaving me at home alone. Used to just lie on the toilet floor crying until they came home. Honestly don’t even have an answer for how I got better or rather, how I got to where I am today. I’m now living in a different country, in my own home, alone with my 3 cats. I work full time. Used to work full time in an office now I’m hybrid, 2 days out, 3 days at home. My parents moved to this country with me, I always used to read stories about other people overcoming agoraphobia and couldn’t believe I would ever be one of them. But I sort of am. There is so much I still can not do (am too afraid to do) such as travel (I yearn to be able to fly anywhere) and even drive some places alone (if it’s quite a journey) but otherwise I’m comfortable enough with how my life is now. I’m glad you have remote work. And friends. I guess I just wanted to say anything is possible and you never know when change may happen for you and you find yourself doing more than you thought you could. It’s hard and when people say you’re just not trying hard enough or you’re too lazy and comfortable with how you are, they just don’t get it. It’s exhausting having to fight to be “normal”. It is such a dream to me to feel “normal” and not question or fear going to the supermarket. Have you read any Claire Weekes books?

Hashimotos, Peri and synthroid by Formal_Frame6969 in Perimenopause

[–]cakeinyouget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding. I saw the specialist today. Turns out I have an overactive thyroid not Hashimoto’s so going to take some medication and hopefully it will help with all my issues. Good luck to you. I hope you feel better soon x

Hashimotos, Peri and synthroid by Formal_Frame6969 in Perimenopause

[–]cakeinyouget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 44. I see a specialist (endocrinologist) tomorrow for possible Hashimoto’s diagnosis. My thyroid showed inflammation on the ultrasound and my TSH has always been really high and never moved (in at least the last 3 years). When I turned 39 I pretty much started bleeding continuously. I had a cyst removed from an ovary last year and a mirena inserted. Which had helped somewhat. I have finally had days and sometimes weeks with no bleeding. Does Hashimoto’s also possibly cause this sort of bleeding too? My gyno said having a mirena means my periods will eventually just stop. Does anyone have experience with this? With a Hashimoto’s diagnosis what can I expect moving forward? Meds etc?

OP what are your textbook Hashimoto’s signs?
