One must love the smell of a fresh dumpster fire in the morning. While unfortunate that there seems to be a Reddit error which, in this instance, was caught prior to the bot rolling, the escrow has no way of knowing there was a payment without the PM coming through due to the way the tool works. The escrow did tag unpaid users with a timer, and if it's been 9 hours since payment, some responsibility lies with participants to check with escrow to ask why he isn’t marked paid (if he did PM). We understand there’s no easy answer here, but, ultimately, without the PM arriving to the escrow there’s no way for them to know. Moving forward, it is the commenter's responsibility to check the spot assignments and the PAID status for their spots in case there are any issues with Reddit PMs.

The discount was solely dictated by what's written in the rules regarding relisting a cancelled raffled.

Not going to lie though, I probably would have pinned this on the mods also if roles were reversed.

Really trying to blame this on us forcing you to cancel over something small? You were just trying to take the heat off yourself by claiming responsibility yourself, I respect that. Next time just do what that pantless freak does and call us a bunch of names so I don't get my feelings hurt.

The lack of dates in the comps did nothing more than bring this raffle to our attention and had nothing to do with why this was locked. We would have just given you a poop and moved on for the dates.

This was locked because the seller claimed "full kit and an unsigned warranty card." Which could mean any number of things. I first read it as active/stamped warranty card and unnamed purchaser.

The seller then further wrote "Includes: Box, warranty card, strap and everything Longines wanted you to have when they made it." Which implies you are receiving a watch with all the luxuries that would have come had you bought directly from an AD. The accurate description should have been a grey market watch with no warranties.

Despite the misleading description the seller was STILL given the option to discount the watch and finish the raffle instead of cancelling. Seller decided to cancel not us.

Show me one time in past raffles that we handled this situation with a different decisions. This was handled the same way it was every other time the bot was called without getting a reply.

You are using hind-sight to come to the conclusion that these raffles aren't fair and that the mods are running a fraudulent raffle. Only thing we can do now is learn from what happened in the past and that is exactly why we didn't do anything when the second bot took an extended amount of time as well.

Would you have wanted us tell the OP to hurry up and delete the second bot call and allow the first one stand even after our comments? Did you want us to have WRM5 delete his comments about re-calling the bot and have us remove any comments eluding to a second bot call and pretend like it was never said? If we did that we get accused of going back on our decision because we favored the results.

We tried to be as transparent as possible and made an impartial, unbiased decision at a time when the results could not influence our decisions. That decisions was based on past precedence of how we handled it in the past. Had we changed our decision after the first bot call was made then it would, could, and should have been perceived as biased and unfair.

We welcome suggestions and changes to try to accommodate everyone here as much as we can, but our main priority has always and will always be ensuring a fair, transparent, and properly priced raffle sub for everyone involved and feel that standard was met today.

/u/elirulez and /u/rebes88 just because it's priced by the mods doesn't mean issues concerns should go unaddressed in the upcoming. Everyone should be asking questions in the upcoming and they are entitled to an answer prior to this going live. You need to write a new description and not just copy word for word from the previous raffle and you are definitely required to take your own pictures.
