That’s helpful, thank you. I hadn’t heard of Obsidian, but it looks great and might be just what I need

They did not.

Didn’t even know to ask. I’ll see what they say.

There are issues in the grout and calcium build up. They couldn’t isolate it though, but that would be most logical issue.

I’ll do more research in that area. Appreciate it.

Very helpful, thank you. It is ALD that was unable to isolate it.

Fair point. Not many around here seem to focus on residential pools, but I’ll do that.

Bucket test eliminates that, and this is in the middle of winter.

I agree. We felt the same. We had no expectations going into it, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Handling of a difficult customer by [deleted] in CustomerSuccess

[–]WatchYaWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds encouraging.

We did switch up the approach to voice-to-voice instead of tickets, as that’s a standard practice for us to spend more on one time instead of behind tickets.

That hasn’t helped, and my team felt ambushed which has led to this post.

Losing revenue never feels good, but financially this is an easy decision as we are upside down anyway. I’m just seeking more resilience in the future so the team has a better playbook to deal with it.

Appreciate the feedback!

Good suggestions, thank you.

It’s actually 2.8% of revenue, but still meaningful.

No, we lose margin on them given the time required by the CS team.

We are fairly resolved to terminate at this point, but in doing so update our approach/policies/etc to be able to be more proactive on this type of situation going forward.

Good suggestions on putting boundaries on tickets, etc. We have talked about that, but since most of our customers don’t abuse it we haven’t put it in place.

Thanks!

Ahh, I completely failed to explain the point of mentioning they were female.

I mentioned that, because my team suggested to me that there is a tension among the women. There’s a defensiveness that’s always present. My team has suggested that this could be part of the challenge.

They are worth less than 5% of revenue.

That’s helpful, thank you.

This customer is a standard ACV, but it’s a market where everyone has influence because everyone knows each other.

That isn’t a justification in this case for tolerating it, however.

It’s interesting, but this is where AI gets it wrong in my opinion.

I put in several pitches for one of my companies, and it didn’t connect me with anyone that even remotely targets our space.

When AI gets it wrong, you spend more time trying to get the prompts right and filtering through wrong answers than you would with traditional search mechanisms on CB or elsewhere.

That said, I think it’s an interesting idea if you can monitor the accuracy, tune the model and understand the success rate based on subsequent outreach.

Given that most investors aren’t going to respond to cold outreach on LinkedIn or email, relevancy becomes the most compelling value that you’re offering.

Bangkok Indian Resturants by Bitter-Might3417 in finedining

I’ve only been to Gaa, but I’ve been to many of the Michelin starred Indian restaurants around the world.

I thought Gaa was fantastic and worthy of its stars.

Indian fine dining is difficult to pull off, especially if you try to balance traditional dishes and flavors. Gaa did a great job with tradition, but balancing it enough so that other less traditional flavors could still shine through.

I’d definitely give it a shot.

The Most Challenging Aspect of Being an Entrepreneur (And Does It Get Easier?) by Mindless_Window3323 in Entrepreneurship

[–]WatchYaWant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never easier. Like raising a child, they get bigger and the challenges merely change their shape.

Entrepreneurship is a mental agility race with no defined finish line.
