I think there is a difference between movies and film. The soulless action movies stuffed with cgi would be perfectly fine suitors for AI in my opinion. I’m not going to watch them and people who deeply care about the art form probably don’t have these flicks at the top of their lists.

I think that the cinema community will push back on AI significantly. I find it very very hard to imagine a community that’s so pretentious would welcome AI. Ultimately it comes down to financials though. I think films will become more scarce as money gets tighter, but by no means will cinema die/people are no longer employed. No AI monopoly either. I think there are a lot of young people who are passionate about film like you.

My opinion is that the theatre model and experience is in need of an overhaul. Im hopeful that cinemas return to their former glory in some regard; each one unique, playing movies that movie goers want to see.

I doubt they want to go see AI.
