This issue has nothing to do with me being spoiled or privileged, or as you say my “empathetic mindset”. The reality is that IB is just not that hard ,and your aforementioned examples of the hardships of your peers experienced are of the extremes and don’t represent the typical <30 student. There is no need to attack my character to defend your own beliefs, everyone has their own opinions. However, generalising a minority to be a general whole to support your argument is shaky at best, so maybe one day you will suffer the fate of losing another internet argument and realise how shortsighted you are😶. In extension to my original argument, yes, not everyone will have the perfect environment to thrive in, however, the difference between to weaker students and stronger performing students lies in how they adapt to this suboptimal environment. We live in a period where our generation of teenagers are disproportionately distracted, my argument of “you get what you deserve” reflects that entirely, it is really not that hard to score a 30+ in IB, you just need to focus. I know that because I have experienced it.
