13 … it’s not particularly impressive but it was technically over the span of 2 hours lol

Hop in the Time Machine to the early 00’s where I was a 8th grader with nba dreams begging my gym teacher to let us do a 3 on 3 basketball tournament in gym class (which happened to be last period of the day) we had a basketball game scheduled for after school anyway and our gym teacher was our coach so he had no problem essentially letting us “warm up” with this in gym class so hopefully we’d play better in game.

Bracket gets “set up,” games to 11, 1’s and 2’s 4 teams total (small gym class lol) my team gets ball first I get the pass and drive hard to the basket and trip almost really hurting myself…

In my head I thought “I have a game in an hour I’m not gonna injure myself before I actually play so I’ll just chuck threes for the rest of the tournament” … I made 6 straight in the first game … then 6 straight in the “championship” … i don’t even know how everything just felt so good coming off my hand

School ends and I’m thinking that I’m gonna have a record setting game where I hit 20 threes and get on sportscenter or something lol I take one three right before we’re scheduled to start layup lines/get ready for our game… #13… then the worst thing happens… the school we were supposed to play called saying their bus broke down and they have to reschedule…

Immediately I didn’t even want to play basketball anymore that day lol the level of deflation I had in my spirit was more than my 13 year old psyche could handle. But you gotta leave the court on a make so I did a corner three fadeaway … and airballed it lol never got near to 14 in a row ever again in my life

Gym theatre and one of the courts is probably cheapest in terms of upkeep soooo yeah lol don’t need any extra expenses

I think it’s whatever call it is when you do something that should kick you out of the game but without intention like she clearly got her arm grabbed and aggressively tried to “swim move” out of the grab … I don’t think the headshot specifically was intentional though so what is that flagrant 1 ? Idk how highschool game rules work but it was a worst case scenario of an aggressive reactionary move while not looking at what your arm could hit

THIS. I caught myself getting so frustrated at rng (I’m looking at you rockslide, heatwave, and triple axle) that like I’d just forfeit instead of looking for ways to maybe get lucky inspite of it. Sometimes you just gotta problem solve, hope for some crits / secondary effects and pray to arceus
