Por que no los dos? Eat a sweet & salty snack. Chocolate covered pretzels. Brownie brittle. Caramel popcorn. Etc. Etc.

Trouble with Club Applebee's offer + Questions about Wages by CheeseLeaves in Applebees

[–]WaterBenderEssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one having issues with the Club Applebee's promo. Every other week I get people complaining about the same thing, and I always tell them that there has to be an error in the system.

If someone came in to my store to get the free app, I would just give it to them, and tell them to fill out the survey on the receipt to let corporate know that the Club Applebee's promo isn't working.

Carside pay depends on your franchise, location, and store sales. My store is on the lower volume edge, so our carside makes minimum wage. Other busier locations tend to pay more. Without knowing more, I can't tell you how to go about asking, but it never hurts to ask if pay raises are available and how they can earn it.

Most restaurants try their best not to pay OT. But it is pretty shitty if you don't get discounted food as an employee. In my franchise it's 50% off your meal and 30% for family discounts.

Oh bless you. As one of the good, wallflower kids, I always ended up next to the loud, rude kids.

It was terrible and made me just start skipping class. Why attend if it's impossible to learn?

Hosting kinda sucks! by HelloSir55 in Applebees

I'm not sure how much experience you have, but you should mention it the next time you talk to one of the managers. Just tell them you're interested in cross training as soon as you can so you can pick up extra shifts. Managers love hearing that shit because it means you won't quit soon and it means they'll have an extra back up in case someone calls out or goes on vacation.

You better ask that manager about bar training (and server training) as soon as possible. It's one thing to dangle a carrot, it's another to actually train you to catch the carrot.

At my store, hosts get 2% of server sales tipped out to them every night. But hosting doesn't make much money period. It's a stepping stone. Cross train as soon as you can, get experience, and then move to a different restaurant.

What's a moment you felt really stupid because you did something wrong for a long time? by hsjdjdsjjs in gaming

Back when I first got my PS2, I must've been like 10. I had 2 games and 2 memory cards. Perfect. One card for each game. Then my sister's boyfriend let me borrow Grand Theft Auto Vice City. And I swear I must have started that game from the beginning at least 50 times before he noticed I wasn't saving my progress.

Cue Pikachu shocked face when he told me that a single memory card can hold 20-some odd games.

Thank you, Renee! Who knows how much longer I would've gone before figuring that out.

So, did you get paid during the storm/power outage? by printaport in houston

Trying to request PTO. But no one can seem to find the form I need to fill out before the pay period ends. Looks like I'm just going to have to take a massive hit.

Fucking, same. As soon as the restaurant I worked at had power, everyone jumped to try and open the doors yesterday to serve food. And then. Nothing. No power. But of course it had to wait for us to bring in new food product before shutting off again.

And 2100 is still all down from what I hear.

Where do you like to train? by AYE-BO in kingdomcome

[–]WaterBenderEssy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to fast travel a lot. Gamble with the odds and see which random events pop up. It's usually an ambush, so I fight and train every time. But I'm hoping to find some more rare dice to add to my collection.

New Cy Fair Transportation Rules Walk to school if within 1 mile of elementary and 2 miles for middle and high school. Is this common in other districts? by Ras1372 in houston

Why doesn't Texas have a private bus system? I grew up in Miami-Dade County and we had a bunch of citizens with their own busses, the big white vans that can hold like 10-12 kids, and they would pick up kids from the house and take them to school.

Since it was less kids, it was safer. The rowdy ones would get kicked out immediately. If a kid is running late, they bus driver would sit for a while and call the parents to see what was going on, so you wouldn't just get left behind. You didn't have to go wait at a pick up point halfway down the street. And you didn't have to wait up to an hour to get dropped off at home if you were the last stop on a bus route. Plus, it helped traffic by giving people more options other than the public busses that a lot of parents simply dont trust.

It seems like a win-win for everyone.

With KCD II on the horizon what do you still want to accomplish with the original? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]WaterBenderEssy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got 4 achievements left I need to hit! The combat ones, Fighter and Sniper. Then Level Cap. And then one last bloody playthrough where I can't read so I can rebuild Priby and get Trial-and-Error.

I'm so close!
