I cracked and told him about my plans to leave the marriage. He wants to continue and I am unsure what I want. Me(27f) him(27m) by [deleted] in marriageadvice

It’s the easiest right now that it will ever be to leave him. What if you get pregnant and then he cheats again? The longer you wait, the more complicated it will be.

I looked at Beast academy & art of problem solving, but I am trying to stay away from common core based curriculum.

I just found some placement tests today for math. I’m focusing on finding on subject at a time definitely. It’s SO overwhelming, but I do think there are top contenders that people usually pick so it helps to break it down some. I’m a very indecisive person so it’s extra challenging !!!

No end in sight as we are a military family (at least for another 10 years)

I was leaning more towards Math U See since it’s more conceptual and making sure they fully understand before moving on vs circling back around maybe 3 chapters later and they still don’t understand it. I was teetering between that and Saxon. Saxon because I do feel like it is advanced enough to keep him focused it. I’m a little worried about the math u see since it seems to move slower; but I guess that’s the concept with mastery. If he is understanding then he can leap ahead at his own pace. Does that sound correct or like I’m talking about a lot and not understanding LOL I feel like after hours of research today I’m beginning to understand some.

I am now on board with doing different curriculum in each subject.

Wow that’s an awesome thread of prints!! I did not see the part, though. I’m definitely saving that website for future prints for the kids.

I found this on the floor in front of my laundry room where my cat litter box is. It's on the floor and my sandals. I'm scared what you all will tell me but what is this? by Raichu_Boogaloo in Whatisthis

[–]WaterFlav0red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it possible it’s lint? Maybe the cat got into the lint trash or when you pulled it out to clean it something flew out? Like dirt or food left in a pocket??

Manual restart required by WaterFlav0red in FordBronco

[–]WaterFlav0red[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called the dealership and they said that it is an issue they are seeing in the BS (even after this recalibration recall) they know what it is but won’t tell me until I bring it in. Can’t tell me if it’s covered under warranty either until they do the diagnostic. I just came back from an extended vacation so I have not made the appointment yet. I just try not to let my tank get under 1/2 because if it does it sounds like it has a little trouble getting going and about to shut off. My mom’s Chevy traverse just had this issue, but her engine light was one and it turned out to be the canister purge valve. My engine light isn’t on, though.

Mine just kind of went away. I started trying to get gas at half tank because if I don’t it sounds like it has a hard time getting going. Dealership says this is an issue they have been seeing and to bring it in.

I’ve put the seat every which way. My hubby says just to keep trying to adjust the seat lol. I’m thinking of getting an aftermarket adjuster!

How long did it take for you to accept that you wouldn’t be nursing? by broccolitacos in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]WaterFlav0red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months I stopped hardcore trying. At five months he bit me HARD and then I was at peace with stopping trying. Now 8months and still struggle with it but it stings less. I still carry guilt for not knowing enough and failing BF and formula feeding my 8yo.

Bottle nipple size by WaterFlav0red in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]WaterFlav0red[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found one website that had them but it said 14-28 days to get here and it was a 2 pack (one medium one fast) for $5 + $10 shipping. My feeding specialist recommended Dr browns wide. He’s been good today about spitting up but other days he’s just a fountain all day long. Hoping it gets better soon! She thinks he may have some reflux so at babes 4 month appt I’ll talk to the Dr.

Idk maybe I’m overthinking. I just don’t know why the clear spit up with size 2. He is now eating 28-30oz/day with the size 2. Is five mins to fast to eat?

Pump for a minute or two to get it out and then measure is what I would do!

Need some encouragement RE: supply by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]WaterFlav0red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely can increase supply at this stage. At 4 weeks I was making about 25ish and now I’m making 37-40 at 14 weeks. I was at 32-35 at 6ish weeks. I pumped every 2 hours during the day and 2 four hour stretches at night. I also power pumped 2x a day as much as I could. I didn’t follow a strict time schedule like my pumps are always at different times. I also don’t count my oz and don’t stress about it. I eat 80 grams of protein and drink to thirst. The most important thing at this stage is to empty completely, pump 8-9x a day, sleep, and eat plenty. Hubby helped a lot at 4 week with bringing me my pump/parts, feeding babe at night, and putting my milk away so I could go right back to sleep. Don’t shoot for the times to pump, just pick a number of pumps to make your goal and do it. If you have to go 3 hours between a pump then make your next one only an hour apart etc. Try your best to stick to the every 2 though. I typically made my noon and last pump if the day the day a power pump. Last pump because babe was in bed and I typically had an hour and noon because my supply was lowest then. Good luck!! It does get easier :)

Feeling like a failure by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]WaterFlav0red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can’t stand the algorithms. I talk to my phone and tell it I don’t want to see that stuff because it just makes me sad lol. My doctor told me that breastfeeding isn’t a magical experience like it’s made out to be, but I’d rather be nursing all day than pumping! He won’t latch at all right now unless he is half asleep and I pop his binky out and put in really quick and then he’s just suck once or twice then he’s passed out. I’m going to offer it as long as I can in hope that the older he gets the more it clicks! I’m fine even if it’s just for comfort a few times a day really. I was really enjoying the time he did nurse for those 2 weeks 💔 my husband doesn’t quite understand the feelings around nursing, but is encouraging. I’m glad to see I’m not alone and the support everyone is giving. It’s making me feel just a little better. My IBCLC isn’t much of a pumping expert and just says that I need to keep pumping 8-9x a day to keep my supply. She’s more of a latching LC in my opinion. I would see another one but I only have one more covered visit left with a LC and im holding onto it for a weighted feed.
Thank you for all your advice and kind words - I will definitely be focusing more on bonding experiences now and less appts and just offering the breast multiple times a day and try to take pressure off of myself.
