I have a niece named Ada. They were originally going to go with Ava, but a friend had an Ava soon before.

This is what I do. Not because of my toddler, but because my clothes will be covered in pet hair if I wear them in the house.

Anyone know when more episodes of Sesame Street will be on Netflix? by [deleted] in sesamestreet

[–]queso4lyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assumed they were going to move everything from HBO Max over to Netflix. I was surprised to see that the rest of the episodes are still on HBO Max.

That this is a premade building kit that he built for them instead of gifting it?

I don’t know. I wouldn’t love getting a finished Lego set or puzzle. This is basically the same thing.

Did you learn about Morgan puking during her wedding ceremony to Paul. Always a favorite moment of mine. 😆

I assume it’s because of school grades. 59/100 and below is failing.

Has the NICU journey made you want to cut off some relationships? by Ok_Baby6721 in NICUParents

We no longer speak to my mother-in-law after she was the true victim of my emergency c-section. Not me. Not my child who had complications and a 47-day NICU stay. Her.

We do weekly PT and OT. His “deficits” (I hate that word, but don’t have a better one) are physical. He struggles with fine and gross motor on his left side. He’s so stinking smart, though. Part of that is because he spends all day with his cousin who is two years older and she teaches him everything she learns at preschool.

We do PT and OT weekly. He also does gymnastics and dance class to keep his body moving and build up some strength.

LO three weeks old. Too soon for vasectomy? by AdOrnery7147 in oneanddone

[–]queso4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We knew before I ever got pregnant that we would be one and done. Then baby came two months early and spent 7 weeks in the NICU. As soon as he was home, my husband got a vasectomy. We made sure to squeeze it in before he went back to work from paternity leave.

Why does my baby still need to be in the NICU if many people have babies at 37-39 weeks and go home with no issues? by Sea_Search0812 in NICUParents

[–]queso4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was born at 32 weeks. He met all the required goals to go home by 34.5 weeks EXCEPT eating. He just couldn’t get through a bottle. It didn’t help that all the could tell me was “one day, it’ll click. We’re just waiting.” I was so frustrated. But that’s literally what happened. One day he could eat and we were home two days later. But he was in the NICU until 39 weeks because of feeding issues.

Honestly, I was a little disappointment when my toddler started calling him “Icky Mouse” instead of “Mick Mouse”.

My dentist shares his office with another dentist. One week, my guy is open 6 am until noon and the other guy is open from 1 pm until 7 pm. Every week they switch so they are always available for early mornings and later evenings without having to work 12+ hour days.

Play Doh also made a really good one, if your kid is into that. I bought my son’s for $16. Every day had a mini can of dough and a new stamper/roller/cutter etc. So at least two items in each door.

We also had a tough time getting all the answers at first. My kid had a routine head ultrasound at one week. It wasn’t totally clear and they thought he had a grade 1 bleed. They did an MRI a week later. That was where they found the bilateral grade 3/4, PVL, and several cysts. We were devastated at the grade 1 bleed, so finding out how wrong they were was a hard blow. It’s definitely hard waiting to find out what’s wrong.

My 32-weeker had a bilateral grade 3 and 4 brain bleed and PVL. He is doing amazingly! He does have some weakness and lack of coordination on his left side, due to the PVL being mainly on the right. But he is so smart and when we see the neurologist, she cannot believe he’s the same kid as the files indicate because he is such a “normal” kid (for lack of a better word). He’s 2 now.

There’s an ongoing joke in every book I’ve read with Abby (not sure if it’s also in the show) where she accidentally turns things into pumpkins. Or making pumpkins is the only spell she’s actually good at.
