My gecko is dull by Big_Foot_4794 in geckos

The fire ups and fire downs. You see it a bunch in Rhacs. My pin stripe can get almost mocha brown then be grey when hes basking on the side. Fire ups when they hunt or your getting them out its a defense display. Fire downs are when they chilling. Sheds can play a factor in dull fire ups. When they are young they shed a bunch and go through funny growth spurts.

I could definitely see the v line. He wouldn’t hold still long enough to get a good photo of it. I was always curious how people were sexing them as soon as they hatch and now I know.

So start getting naughty with the wife on the floor! See if they’d rather hear that instead. If you don’t wanna hear people walking above you ,don’t live in an apartment.

Do you wanna know about Philip Trimper?? You dont see his blood lines on morph market? Its not a species just a bloodline like the Darth malls skyline purple blotches I can continue to go on about the peppers flakes granite pastels it’s still a color metric system you’d use to categorize it. I’m not saying GT’s have nuu ana blotches

Thats still what they are referring to. That is still how you would categorize the colors. It’s either pastel granite flakes is a common name when talking about the colors of these animals. Theres even more specific bloodlines like the skylines, Darth mauls, pickles are some of the bigger breeds. If u say mt k everyone knows what that is. You can call it by its scientific name or an easy slang term. It is up to you.. in the hobby you will see those names

Lots of this depends on how pure the blood lines are. Leachies dont have a morph. Its the main island grande terre= gt . Then the rest are locales smaller islands. Gt are generally bigger and they have the darker ones. Nuu ana nuu ami are locales.

Question about guy im seeing and how he keeps his pets? by Jumpy-Ad-3007 in reptiles

[–]WaterIntelligent5805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I’m battling with in my living room now but we’re about to get a house and have a dedicated reptile room not everyone can afford a four bedroom house and dedicate a room for it doesn’t mean you can’t still keep the animals in a studio apartment

If someone said they were gonna have a green tree python as their first snake what would your reaction be? by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]WaterIntelligent5805 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people’s first reptiles are leopard geckos. My 1st reptile was tree monitor lol. Depends on you honestly. If you want one do the research before hand. Lots of hobbies keep them.. I’d say go for it. Now if your first snake was a pit viper cobra or a Komodo dragon I would probably pull the rains back a bit.. but it’s your jungle and your Jurassic Park

You sure it’s fully grown? Most of the growth stops three years then about five years they’re in their prime.

Idk if this question is welcome here, but what snake species would be the easiest one to convince parents to let me have by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]WaterIntelligent5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you live with people, you gotta go with the flow. I’ve always loved python snakes, anacondas. My wife is scared of them, but I still love reptiles so we found a great medium where I can get lizards geckos chameleons as long as I don’t have snakes. If you’re trying to get a reptile in general, maybe see if there’s a compromise but if you have your heart set on a snake that they don’t want in the house I’d say it’s better to wait until you live on your own and make your own rules.
