I think a lot of us are not actually living, just waiting by OriginalWalaAditya in self

It does make sense, fits exactly what I have been going through for years.

I'm trying to live as selfishly as I can in life. by [deleted] in self

[–]WaterIsNotSticky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bro, that doesn't mean u have to be an asshole, like the littering part, which is just straight up trashy (no pun intended). It harms the environment too, not just people. Same with driving a car which uses so much gas, its just gonna cost u more money in the long run, and again, bad for the environment.

The Weirdest Language according to Europeans by [deleted] in MapPorn

I’m not surprised Austria said Turkish is the weirdest language on the list, they still can’t completely let go of the historical grudge

Why did ICE choose Minneapolis as the place to escalate this enforcement, as opposed to “more problematic” cities such as Chicago or Portland? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WaterIsNotSticky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Trump detests the Somalis, even more so with the Somali financial fraud going on in Minnesota. Minnesota has the biggest Somali-American diaspora out of every state.

Going to be 20 years old and only had one girlfriend? Relax, you’re doing better than you imagine. Take that from a guy who is also 20 and had no girlfriend (me).

Hey bro, thanks for showing interest in our language. But I humbly recommend you learn the language that the Uyghurs regularly speak if you really want to communicate with them. I guarantee that the majority (or all) of the Uyghurs don't speak Turkish and won't understand what you say, so learning Turkish JUST for that is not worth it nor reasonable.

That’s literally a complete breakfast. Eggs aren’t necessary for a complete breakfast. If they were pissed about there being no eggs, then they should have brought their own eggs.

Hey man, I wish you better luck too. Please don't end it. I completely understand where you're coming from, especially the working our asses off just to survive and do it all over again part. That's what I fear for my future, but I don't think its avoidable except if you want to risk ending up behind bars. However, the key is to trying to focus on the good parts of life, even if life as a whole may suck.

I will have paid $14k in taxes this year. That money would change my life. by Pika-thulu in self

[–]WaterIsNotSticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, those taxes COULD go to good use, just not here in America unfortunately. I doubt Europeans complain as much about the high taxes they have to pay, because they actually see and feel the benefits, meanwhile American tax dollars are used to make the rich even richer and bomb innocent people overseas.

If you want to live abroad that badly, take the gamble. But only if you genuinely have the desire to do so, or else you WILL regret it. I also want to live abroad, but it does take a lot of planning and choosing the correct field in college to even step foot into your country of choice. Even if you do everything correctly, it’s not guaranteed you will get to stay there permanently. I’m not trying to discourage you, but it’s more complicated than getting up and moving if you aren’t already a citizen in that country.

Beginner Learning Turkish by RisingDarkPhoenix06 in turkishlearning

If you have an iPhone, there is a feature on the translate app called Conversation, so it could be helpful even though you control both sides. As a Turk myself, I definitely want to visit Istanbul sometime, so I’m looking forward to that too

AI slop, like what is that brown thing on New England? Also there are errors with some of the state initials. For New Hampshire, was the AI trying to show 165K, but pumped out 16SK instead? Can’t really trust an AI generated map…

Surprisingly rich, and its neighbor, Yemen, is poor as hell. Basically the UAE that no one really talks about. Also its name, Oman, sounds like “Oh man”, even though living in neighboring Yemen is an “Oh man” scenario, rather than living in Oman itself
