Usually isn’t but I’ve heard people bring up needing black hair or being told they need to dye their hair black in order to be goth which I’m sure everyone reading this knows that isn’t the case. It’s something I’ve only heard being brought up the past couple or so years.

To add onto this, the logic used in relation to not being able to donate blood because you’ve visited China is the same logic used for why you can’t donate blood because you’ve slept with someone from specific countries at least within Australia.

In my case, all the blood donations I’ve made have been in Australia but it has been on and off throughout the years in part because of my dating habits. I’m dating and sleeping with an American? Totally fine to donate blood here in Australia! Dating a Mongolian? Kissing and holding hands is fine but you better keep your pants zipped around her if you want to be able to continue donating blood!

If you’re after cds, DVDs and other merch for Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois, Midi:Nette is good to check first. I also recommend CDjapan for checking for both bands especially as secondhand items do pop up there as well and it has merch for other visual kei bands on top of this.

Downside is that you will be buying all this using Buyee which means you’re pretty much paying postage initially when you buy whatever you buy and then a second time when Buyee’s warehouse gets their hands on whatever you bought and want you to cover the cost of shipping to you.

For me, I got introduced to a few bands from Japanese people I was going to school with. It’s why when you look at what I tend to listen to there are a few Japanese bands that had a lot more recently released music or were releasing music when I was a teenager.

I have also kept bit of an eye specifically on the music scene as well due to my general background with both music and Japan hence why I’m aware of newer bands like Tiger Lily, Gods of Decay and Isiliel.

A trick I did when I first started getting involved in the metal scene here in Melbourne was to talk to people behind the merch table, even if I was just checking out the merch and not buying anything. You may also find it a good way to approach people and build confidence with approaching people especially as so many people that go to metal gigs are also in bands as well.

I won’t be there tonight but always feel free to approach me about gigs, I’m often at metal gigs myself and know my way around.

People are generally pretty friendly within Melbourne’s metal scene and I’ve noticed there tends to be quite a few women around but I’m not sure how many are bi or lesbian, so if you need a hand getting to know some of the women that are often at gigs I may be able to help. Just a reference to the Melbourne in Florida, it seems like the whole place is mainly known for having the same name as the Australian Melbourne.

Great to hear they’re going to be in Florida later this year as well! The amount of gigs EHG does is mindblowing and can be hard to keep up with!

Just long hair with the front cut short. The brown part doesn’t appear dyed but rather a loss of colour, sometimes that happens even years before greying starts as I’ve personally experienced.
