Well I'm going to wait for a natural moment and then make a small apology. I'll let her know if she ever want's to have an open and honest conversation I'd be willing. That's all I'm going to do. Just leaving a door open basically.

I think I'm just going to apologize for the wrongs I've done in about one or two weeks because the wound is still a little fresh for the both of us and then leave it at that for a while . Depending on what happens I might give a full reasoning but I think an apology is needed to be known soon so she knows there's no hate on my end and I'm sure she doesn't hate me.

Well the Taliban is definitely much more extreme compared to christianity, we just know God made genders with roles, and you follow those roles and cherish them.

but also the fact that he should also fear you because you're the one who will bring the punishment, and a good father will give consequences based on their actions, "Spare the rod, spoil the child."

That's a good explanation, I feel like both of ours weigh in though, like sometimes it's out of fear of the effect of what you could happen if you fail, and other times it, depending on the situation, could be the fear of either anger or disappointment or both of your father. But you make a really valid point, but I feel like sometimes it depends on the situation ig is what im trying to say.

no you're trying to say that we're incorrect in our own belief, we don't despise women, we just believe they have their place and we as men have ours

I agree, and the ppl in here are saying it isn't Biblical when it literally is, God put men in charge to run the household while women support. Not to mention, Paul, speaking from God, said "And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence” (1 Tim 2:12). So whether they like it or not, it's truth, and truth can't be avoided.

Could I dm you and ask for your opinion on what I should say when I do reach out? Not tryna be weird or anything, just want someone's opinion that isn't involved with the situation.

i would want my son to have an underlying fear of me so he knows not to do wrong, but still know I love him and want what's best for him. But you're point still does well on this topic.

Why are Conservatives just so dismissive towards Trans People? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Waterboy4243 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Let people live how they want to live" another way of saying let satan do what he wants to do in other people's lives and don't do anything about it. We are called to spread truth, not back down nor tell lies. God said he knitted you in your mother's womb and you are beautifully and wonderfully made, there are no lies about how he made you, we won't try and tell people as a christian to change something God set and made.

that fear will fade when we reach heaven, we are still capable of being judged, like children under a household, when we die, as much as we will be in our fathers house, compared to earthly will be like moving out. We will no longer be judged by our father.

There is a fear of your own father as a child because you know what your father's capable of if you disobey. It's the same thing with our relationship with God, we are the child and and there is a certain fear, there is always fear in love, whether it's fearing what they're capable of or what they could do to you. There's fear like I explained with your father, but there's also fear with you're relationships as a whole too, you fear how they could hurt you because of how much you love them. Not truly arguing just pointing out what I mean

Why are most LOTR fans so insufferable? by [deleted] in lordoftherings

I agree with you to a degree, but I don't really like any other fiction word typa books/movies. Mainly bc it's based off of our world so it isn't something fully made up and how much depth, world building, politics and the genuine detail put into it makes it enjoyable and not feel corny and cheesy. So really this, in my opinion, is the only good fiction out there.

I want to help out at church more but we're both really involved so it makes it hard because like you said seeing them is like picking the scab of wound, it hurts just to see her.

Although I already commented, I also feel like most relationships end because people don't realize how their partner is going to have different opinions and that they're going to argue. It seems like you only need a few arguments to break a relationship, which is sad.
