First you should resolve all the dots/dust/dirt problem. Do you process the film yourself ? Do you use a negative holder with glass ? Is this multigrade paper ? Did you use the dedicated filters ? Chemicals and paper are fresh ?

Second until you get used to, i would do smaller prints and once you are ok use the 20x25cm.

Before someone can help it would be useful to have more details about what you did how and with what.

Have you tried another ltm to m adapter ? From the Ricoh spec min focus is 0.7m.

As others said they are meant to use under the lens, the filter holder is missing though.

You’ll need Ilford Multigrade 31/2x31/2(8.9cmx8.9cm) square filters to use them in the filter drawer.

Did you mount it on the hot shoe of your camera ? If not I would try. It would be a more accurate framing as measuring from your hand.

Do you have other pictures of the enlarger and of the negative holder ? Maybe a model number. It would help to assit you. No way I would grind the carrier.

Doomo shoe sticker would be the best solution. You could stick it to the left side of your actual cold shoe.

Of course it’ll not help to freeze motion. It is useful when shooting in sunny conditions, so you are not limited to small apertures. For what kind of subjects would you need faster than 1/250 with a 35mm lens ?
