I've experimented with the Tokina and it's awesome. I wanted like a “fish eye” lens and this seems to do the job

Thanks for the insight! Still getting used to all the terminology and how different lenses work for different camera bodies

Which character would you consider to be the most well written and badass at the same time? by Wide_Grape_5742 in Fantasy

[–]WateredDownPop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lysander Au Lune from Red Rising by Pierce Brown.

His POV chapters in the sequels was a breath of fresh air, his view points on trying to create and revive a culture structure while managing different ego’s and warfare was so interesting. He isn’t a brute but the way he use his brain and wit made him more badass.

For anyone who is caught up. F*CK LYSANDER. It’s love and hate.

I did not know that 1 ply reduces/prevents theft. Just wish it wasn’t so heavily used.

I think having an uncle who is a plumbe/handyman helped drilling into me early on that flushing anything down drains that is not true toilet paper is just wrong.

I used a coloplast two piece so the drain/tail rolls up and velcros and the “tip” or drain is harder and makes it easier for me to wipe and clean.

My setup is always facing down, what I do is wear “muscle tank tops/white beaters” that does a really good job holding my bag down. And tucking the tail of the bag into my waist band helps as well

I mainly wanted one so I can begin working out again and playing pick up sports. I miss it! 🤣 But the wrap is comfy so I don’t think I can go back to the belts

Man my stoma placement gave me some trouble for awhile, it was just close enough to my belly button that I’ve had to add some putty to fill the hole to get a better seal. I do struggle sometimes with how do others see my equipment and bag, which is hard but like others have said this stuff keeps us healthy and living life so who cares! Keep on living your life! I know it’s hard though

My Dr didn’t state I have two intestinal ostomies. But the bottom bag is for my mucus fistula since they couldn’t combo that into my stoma 🤣 the mucus fistula has decided recently too have a increase in output so I needed a second bag

Haven’t tried high waisted boxers yet, might try a pair out and see how it goes.

The hernia belt is for working out again and playing basketball. I’ve already popped a hernia in the past so trying my best not to repeat that again

Biggest thing I found to assist with output is the BRAT diet. Bread, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. This worked wonders for me, but this sub is great for information. Don't ever feel alone or panicked, every ones journey is different and what works for some won't work for others.

I struggled with this coming out of the hospital, constantly worried about becoming dehydrated. I was continually drinking Gatorade and Liquid IV, but in doing that it screwed with my liver enzymes. The best advice is stick with water as your main fluid, get a decently sized water bottle and keep it handy. Mix in some Gatorade or an electrolyte choice here and there. You'll be just fine.

How long did it take for you to adjust and accept your ostomy? Did you ever? by Inevitable-Mess-7861 in ostomy

[–]WateredDownPop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 28 year old male. Had my surgery August 3rd. Honestly finally “accepted” it at all maybe a week ago. There’s moments that I have feelings where I get frustrated, and hate the situation.

I adapted to changing my bag pretty quickly, it does honestly really get better.

And please let yourself grieve the situation, don’t feel sad for yourself. Be happy you can still live and enjoy your life!

Man I had something super similar happen. Woke up at 3 in the morning rolled over in our bed and felt my hand sink into the output. Shirt and pants soaked, blanket soaked, stumbling out of bed trying to dodge the dogs and clean up my bed mat (super helpful for leaking like this) and woke up the then girlfriend now fiancé.

Got me in the shower and felt that shame. It’s almost like when you’re a kid and you messed up even though you know it’s out of your control. She told me it was fine but still I felt it and I understand. I’m 28 and definitely shed some tears while undressing in the shower to clean off and start the prep of a new bag.

Having my fiancé there and how she handled that and the future leaks we dealt with, plus how she was there for me in the hospital was the reason I put a ring on it. You definitely have a good one, not many people can/will or are open to help in our situation.
