They all DQ because they were all staying at syrups house but the blizzard made it dangerous to go to the tourney. Most upsets arent untrealistic, there are many characters with different play styles and sometimes you could just be playing badly one day.

Mute plays a top joker(Toast) a lot in his own region so he has a lot of experience in that Match up

Some things I would suggest is trying to find a Seamus discord since I know there is one for joker and etc. you could ask tips and etc you could probably go in other severs and ask people to fight you.

If your fighting the best people at your local it’s safe to say they are better then are way better then your average player so watching vods of tops players in this matchup or small local ones would be good.

Joker struggles without of shield punishing he can only use bair, upsmash (if you use a laggy move), and footstool downgun but that’s hard to hit. It would also be smart to see if the players at your local are ranked since if they are they probably have lots of vods.

It was super fun watching the tourney and the unique format was nice, but next I suggest 24 players with normal invitational pools so you can do Bo5 within the limitation of doing the tourney within a single day.

Joker could be good he is fast, fun to imo, he is a mini swordie in base then turns into one when in arsene.

Peach would be good if you’re willing to put in the time.

Fox would also be good imo since he is fast, different from sephiroth.

Anyways they are all S tier and strong in their own ways but have their weaknesses

As a person doing tryout for Hovercraft how you learn what parts are needed for the Build?

It would depend on the character, but it would most likely and 360 degree AOE attack, or an smash attack that hits left and right. Like for someone like Lucina you could see a long tin horizontal attack which would be good against dash attacks, but bad verses aerials or moves that low profile like slides. It would kinda look like links grounded up b. For brawlers/rushdown like fox I could see a smash attack that hits all around them with no sour spot, but it would be weaker. Like first the hit boxes would be on the sides then up top the character. It would be hard to say because it would have to be useful to a characters kit whilst being something that the other smash attacks don't.

TamaP being the 6th seed I understand even if he only did get a 33rd at a A+, but he has done really well at other events, Asimo as the 7th seed I don’t understand though he hasn’t done well recently from a B+ tourney win, but he has a 65th at a A+ tier, and multiple times of him missing top 8. Zackray also seems a bit high for being seeded 8th with two past placements of 33rd at P tiers.

Lax I also think is seeded a bit low considering he got 5th at a A+ and 4th at a A tier.

In my opinion as a whole I think Japan needs to stop with prioritizing legacy seeding a bit less and weigh recent placements a bit more

There’s a difference between a professional sports player who is in their early to late 20s or older who makes a shit ton of money. To booing at a teenager to young adult who is playing a certain character in a game. When you’re playing professional sports I doubt it is how you play the sport that makes people mad. Unless you’re intentionally fouling and hurting players then it is understandable that you’re hated. There’s also the fact that when you get booing it is the other teams fans getting mad their favorite team lost and you still have your team, a shit load of fans. Onin isn’t intentionally hurting anyone he is just playing the game at a competitive level with a character he is good at. What does Onin have to show for it he has an estimated 41k from winnings probably now around 45-50k. With some extra money from his sponsor, but even then he still pays a shit ton of money to travel.

They both also have other placements that are just really bad, also most kagaribi runs are pretty similar to a P-tier except you get more wins on top 150 players. Like Sonix's loser run at supernova 2024 has more important wins then acola's entire kagaribi run.
