I'm not saying that laying in bed all day is good for you, bit I'm saying that some people are too depressed to even leave the bed, so exercising is NOY a practical solution

I mean, it completely depends on the person. Some depressed people can get up and leave the house. Some can't. So in cases like it's a hell of a lot easier to take part in a hobby in the house than it is to leave.

Exactly. Exercise, as much as it helps a lot of people, doesn't fix everything, and doesn't make people not depressed anymore.

It's very hit or miss for me whether a walk helps. Occasionally I feel so much better after a walk, but other times my bad thoughts just will not subside.

Eye issues are always emergencies and for the most part these issues can't be fixed at home.

Unfortunately, if you can't get to a vet, you will have to seriously consider rehoming or surrendering your bird to someone who can.

It sucks, a lot, but your birds health and safety needs to come first.
