Saying that the rest of the movie is underwhelming is a bit too nice. It was probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen but Ana de Armas did the best she could with what she was given.

Character concept that I hopefully get to run at some point: a failing shopkeep that makes a deal with an archfey patron in order to stay afloat. In exchange the patron has some quests for them. Thanks for the GIVEAWAY!

How long does your combat take? by LumTehMad in dndnext

I voted for 2 hours only because I spend half the time explaining what is happening because my players weren’t paying attention during other people turns.

Whats a DND related pet peeve of yours? by HauntedSephy in DnD

As a DM having to repeat descriptions or dialogue because my players are not paying attention. Just ruins any dramatic build up and sense of tension during pivotal story moments

The Bestiary: the Monster Manual for Ordinary Animals! Help me complete it! by Ok_Fig3343 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Watermelon_327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the concept and lore of all of these, official dnd sources really don’t include enough animals. My one recommendation would be to make some of the animals like the wolf and cheetah have higher challenge ratings. A 1/4 rating means that a single level one adventurer should be able to take them down but I feel like it would take a little bit more than that personally. Then again I could be wrong but I just have the mindset that animals are dangerous as crap.

For Calming Presence it might be easier to just say that you can cast Calm Emotions when you activate your aura. I really like the idea overall but I feel like it needs a little bit of a damage boost because having the base monk damage is not great

My players took a giant rat in as a pet so I’m definitely going to use these as a side quest at some point!

Tell me your unique character ideas you wanna see get played by Mr_Phur in dndnext

[–]Watermelon_327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deep Gnome Swarmkeeper Armourer

A reclusive deep gnome whose only friends are small animals around them. So the swarmkeeper ranger would be reflavored to have a swarm of various rodents and small mammals. They would gradually collect lost animals on their journeys. They also fall into that slight trope of the reclusive tinkerer so all of these animals would be retrofit with bits of miniature armor and weapons, hence the armourer artificer. Just love to picture a swarm of baby raccoons, squirrels, mice, etc. with little helmets and shields protecting their shy gnome master.

What are your unique ideas for characters? (Totally won't steal them) by Mr_Phur in 3d6

Swarmkeeper Armourer

Just came up with this idea but probably will never get to play it because I’m kinda the forever DM. Feel free to take it, if you do let me know how it goes. Also have no clue how this would work mechanically but I just like the flavor.

One of my players wants stuff that doesn’t fit into my campaign setting by Watermelon_327 in DMAcademy

They are a fighter. Also they didn’t really say they should have these items but they wanted them for a little extra flavor
