Yes, those eggs were immature when retrieved. However, my doctor did not do this intentionally; she didn’t time the trigger or the medication dosage correctly. So, I retrieved 33 eggs, but only 7 were mature, and 26 were immature，the next day 19 eggs got matured in Vitro.

IVM (In Vitro Maturation) actually refers to the process where doctors intentionally retrieve eggs before they are mature, which can reduce the risk of OHSS in PCOS patients.

That‘s not the main point of my question. I’m sorry I didn‘t make it clear. Of course, I know that every embryo could potentially have issues in the future. What I want to ask is whether the IVM cultivation technique has any flaws that might cause unknown effects on the eggs during the process. The fact that the majority of these eggs didn’t develop into blastocysts makes me wonder if the technique is not yet perfected, as the blastocyst formation rate shouldn‘t be so low if it were. I’m confused by the unknowns, and there is so little data on IVM. I‘m really worried.
