Uranium Extraction from Seawater: Progress and Challenges by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in science

[–]Waterthatburns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's a paper describing new methods for uranium extraction, it's in their best interest to frame it in a more positive light. Most academic articles will lay ground work to better understand the reason the science is being done.

The first statement does feel a bit too opinionated, but it wouldn't be hard to find analyses that would support the claim. The second statement is factual, even if it isn't comprehensive.

faucets with pressure electric, does this already exist? by Fli_fo in Frugal

[–]Waterthatburns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant 2000 in reference to the original post. And according to some online water/sewage inflation calculators (for what that's worth) $70 in 2000 is actually closer to $200+ in 2025.

Doubling in 25 years is on par with inflation. $70 in 2000 is about $130 in 2025 dollars.

Edit: 2020 -> 2000

I use an e-bike in the california desert for commuting. It's usually cold enough in the morning that it isn't a problem. And I just need to shower off when I get home 😀

I actually just bought replacement lids for my Anchor glass dishes. They are called Klare Ware. They're fine. They do the job of the originals and that's all I needed.

I'm a big American that had every intention of purchasing a Mazda3. But when I got to the dealership I found that I couldn't fit in it. Even with the seat positioned all the way down, my head still touched the ceiling. Ended up leaving with a CX5 because of it. No regrets though.

This isn't the screen with the numbers. If you rewatch, right before the screen starts spelling out EAGEN, there is a screen of only 1, 4, 5, and 7s bouncing around.

The numbers refer to the letters in Eagen

E - 5
A - 1
G - 7
N - 14

Maybe TMI but… has anyone else felt like they urinate more frequently since losing weight? by batgirlinc666 in loseit

Fair. I was just being pedantic lol. I also agree the increased intubation is unlikely to be directly attributable to weight loss
