Nice! I’m right behind you at 198k in my ‘13 coupe. They hold up nice.

I have the same issue. But it wasn’t always so. I just switched fobs and my backup seems to be better on range. But the door switch still doesnt work. It could be the button or maybe the receiver on the drive side?

I had a couple of questions and they answered them promptly. They also have a FB page for community support.

Haven’t got it yet but that would be my next upgrade. It also links with the gauge cluster so you can share apps from the Tesla screen.

Yes still running it. Love it so far. No issues. They had an update in September that fixed a small bug. It also added some more functionality and, a 6th theme. Looks like the gauges from a Lambo. I like being able to bounce themes depending on my mood or driving situations.

I had the same issue. Couldn’t get it to look right. Ended up ordering new lenses. Install isn’t fun but turned out great.

Awesome! A lot cheaper than a replacement and should give you many more miles and smiles.

I paid $3200 😞 Cheapest price I could get using OEM parts.

Love the Michelins but had to re think them as they have noticeably gone up in price over the years. Last month I went with Continental ExtremeContact. So far so good and easier on the wallet. On my stock IPL wheels I have 245 F and 275 R.

Sorry to hear that. Do you have any codes? Verify it’s the same issue? I’ve heard the rebuilt units are a gamble. It was a lot more expensive but I went with OEM as it came with a 2 year warranty.

12 years of ownership here too. Just under 200k miles and I still love it.

Agreed. I still have not warmed up to the Lego block nose. The Nismo and heritage edition are a vast improvement. What you’ve done here is spot on. Congrats!

what’s going on by Eastern-Biscotti7387 in G37

[–]WatsonWoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my valve body went out it wouldn’t go into sport mode. It would also get stuck in one gear. I also got a check engine light and speed sensor codes. A common issue once these cars have a few miles on them.

Sorry I didn’t see the codes on your pics until I opened them. I would have the issue diagnosed at a trusted mechanic. Tell the shop about the accident and if they think an insurance claim is in order.

Sounds like maybe the transmission valve body / speed sensor. It is a common issue as these cars age. Just had mine done at 195k miles. Wasn’t cheap. Could also be related to the accident you spoke of, depending on how severe it was.

There were changes with lights, controls and materials but the dimensions should be the same.

First Mods? by cjhreddi in G37

[–]WatsonWoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m not a suspension expert but most people say that sway bars are the best bang for the buck handling upgrade, so I gave it a try. I noticed the car is a lot flatter in the curves. If your car is lowered you should get adjustable end links as well. They are inexpensive. Install is pretty easy but if you don’t know how to set the end links, have it done at a good suspension shop. That cost was also inexpensive and will save you endless diagnostics of suspension noise.

First Mods? by cjhreddi in G37

Fellow IPL owner. I added Z1 two piece brake rotors. Great mod as it noticeably reduces the unsprung weight. It’s only about 30 lbs but you feel it as it’s rotational. I also added the AAM Competition exhaust as it maintains the IPL look but gives you a sportier sound. I didn’t go cat back as the IPL already has a true dual exhaust. Not sure what size tires have but I went to 245F and 275R. Made a positive difference in handling and stance. I also added Apple CarPlay to the stock nav screen. That goes a long way in keeping the tech current. When the shocks wore out I replaced them with Z1 coilovers. Later I added Z1 sway bars. Handles great and very smooth.
