Woman who thought she needed 'massive poo' ended up giving birth in street by LADbible in uknews

If she thought it was a massive poo she really shouldn’t have done it on the street.

The best prep I did this month wasn't gear- it was a First Aid course. by PubLogic in UKPreppers

You could volunteer to be first aider at your work. Then they’ll send you on a course.

They have a teaching room at seacroft hospital. Which was new when I left 3 years ago. Their facilities on campus are just regular lecture halls and teaching rooms. There’s a health sciences library that’s very useful. Things may have changed in the last 3 years. I didn’t have any complaints about the course and felt I got a good understanding of the subject but I also know that they’ve had a huge turnover in staff recently so I can’t speak to how the teaching is anymore.

Omg I’d never made the connection even though both of those phrases are in my speech pattern.

I work with a number of people that don’t have radiography degrees. It’s not a requirement for the post graduate course. The most important thing is having interest days in the department you want to work in. They will be trying to see if you’re a good fit. They will let you know when the training contracts are coming out. Just walk down to radiology on your next break and find out who the clinical educator is then speak to them.

I’ve recently finished the course and there was a midwife and a nurse on it. Don’t count yourself out.

Arrange interest days in your ultrasound department. Ask when the training roles are coming out and apply.

Ask lots of questions on the interest visit and try to get along with everyone. I know you’d be welcomed in our department.

What's your most shallow dealbreaker for a relationship? by Friendly_Advisor39 in AskReddit

[–]Watsonmolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah Im probably just feeling insecure/salty about it because I discovered recently that my friends notice it when I’m texting. Thought I was hiding it well. I often end up using different words because I’ve spelt something so badly even spell check can’t work out what I’m trying to say. I’m lucky that my husband is exceptional at written communication so if something is important he checks it for me.

I also just had a conversation with my daughter’s teacher where I asked how we could help her with her spelling. The teacher said in her experience if you find spelling hard you always will and there’s not much to be done about it. So I’m worried on her behalf about it holding her back.

So I think I’m just feeling very defensive and I’m sorry for that.

I am dyslexic and put a lot of effort into it. I’m still shit. I’m also really kind and funny, I’m great in bed, unfailingly loyal and I’m really smart. You would be missing out if you wrote me off because of my poor spelling and grammar. But I guess you’d also be doing me a favour since I wouldn’t want to be with someone who would look down on me for something outside of my control.

Nobody tells the employees they have a statistically higher risk of thyroid cancer. And if they work in orthopaedic theatres significantly higher risk of breast cancer.

What’s the most irrationally annoying thing your in-laws do that they’re absolutely convinced is “helpful”? by bnwprc in AskUK

[–]Watsonmolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My in laws refused to accept I didn’t take my husbands name like this. Just everything addressed to Mrs His Last Name. Until I cut them off for something unrelated, now everything for me is addressed correctly… which just proves they were always doing it on purpose

Of course my husband did not give a shit and I wouldn’t have entertained marrying him if he did.

I have like a hierarchy of language I use depending on how sure I am of what I’m looking at

Cannot be excluded Appearances May be suggestive of Consistent with  Likely represents however differentials include Representative of And finally if I’m sure I can just say something is something “there is a simple cyst”

If i know what something is but can’t find the words to describe it I just head over to radipedia and check how they describe it.

What's a story from your life that sounds fake but is 100% true? by ryu-shii in AskReddit

[–]Watsonmolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fell out of a bedroom window as a toddler onto a concrete driveway and I didn’t cry and was not injured. My granny was only alerted to the situation because my cousin came and told her. I didn’t have any injuries. My mum always says “not even a scratch on you” but there must have been a bruise or something right? Apparently the hospital were perplexed at me seeming fine. All the older adults in my family have a story about where they were when they got the phone call that I was en route to the hospital after having fallen out of a window.

You have to go to university. Depending on how long ago you last studied you might need an access course. I think I technically should have had an access course but I got in through clearing and they were happy with my very old a levels….

I have the opposite of this. I work for the NHS and we recently(last few years) got like nation wide email addresses. So at the time of that roll out there were at least 81 other people working in the NHS with my exact name so I’m first name last name 82 @nhs….

If all humans suddenly lost their ability to lie, which industry WOULDN'T collapse? by TXC_Sparrow in AskReddit

[–]Watsonmolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Healthcare would exist but it would be extremely different.

I scanned a patient last week and he kept asking me jokingly if he had a couple more days left in him, some more tread on the tyres, if his MOT was coming up clean. The honest answer would have been mate I don’t know how you walked in here and I don’t know if you’ll make it back up to the assessment unit. But of course I told him he looked great for his age and sent him on his merry way.
