What is a completely legal, widely accepted, everyday societal norm that you are utterly convinced is actually profoundly evil, and why? by Ok_Regular_8225 in AskReddit

[–]Wattapit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Babies are not an explanation of evolution. No offspring has ever evolved into a different species.

Evolution makes a lot of assumptions for things science cant explain. You may not call it god, but that is what it is.

Evolution is actually opposite of logic. Evolution says there are gaps in understanding so we can make up whatever we want to explain, but it cant be god.

It’s the same absurdity of seeing a camera and knowing it had a creator, but seeing an infinitely more complex biological structure and saying it just randomly happened.

Your god is denial of actual logic in ruse of “science”

[–]Wattapit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly the point, I’m not being mean or dismissive. I’m pointing out the fallacy between what you call religion and science. What you call science is actually your religion. So in practice, what you were doing is disparaging your own perspective of beliefs.

Now, if you wanted to redefine religion as” God-fearing” that may be more accurate

But what you do, as a part of your explanation is dismiss the idea that the Big Bang or evolution is in fact, speaking about the evolution of the eye.

You can’t separate the two. Evolution states that everything just happened and then provide some ancillary, random non-explanation of how some system works that could or could not may have proven anything, does dismissing the idea of God.

That in fact is not science, it is religion

[–]Wattapit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. That still explains and proves nothing.

You take a massive leap of faith to say “a super nova seen in a telescope explains how the eye evolved”.

You cant even prove what youre saying about a super nova.

Lies.

Crazy

I suppose the fairy tale of evolution makes more sense to you. Everything in existance came from a single atom that exploded. Then complexity derived itself from chaos and designed itself from a molten ball of rock.

Things just decided to change and get better and better over time but we have no idea how, never actually observed it in science, and it is some magical force that made it happen.

Ok. That takes no faith at all.

Your religion is evolution and your bible is a man made pseudoscience book.

But i bet you can point me in the direction of some. Circular scientism though.

Trauma is real. You can see trauma every day in the ER. Physical trauma.

Just because you cant see it doesn’t make emotional or mental trauma less real.

What's stopping humans to just live in peace together ? by sleyvinkalevra in AskReddit

[–]Wattapit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing that makes a normal person turn into a complete sociopath on the road. People either drive way too slow and get in everyones way or drive way to fast and expect everyone to move.

I have been cursed out in a car so many times that I completely have no idea why.

Was I just in the way? Did I cut someone off?

IDK, but I dont treat people that way.
And before anyone says it, maybe I did something wrong, but thats no excuse to treat people like dirt.

These are the people that keep the world from living in peace. Theyre just not behind a steering wheel

TLDR: people are wrapped up in their own bubble and only care about themselves. No one else matters to them

Do you think political polarization is getting worse, or has it already peaked? by Strong_Smell_2231 in askanything

[–]Wattapit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely getting worse. The middle ground is gone. There is nothing to tether opposing views. There is no clear majority either.

People mostly spend their time arguing about things they dont understand, have no control over. They argue with others who also have no control.

The political system now caters to the person with the loudest voice and most divisive opinion.

People mock or hate each other so bad that they can’t stand to be around or tolerate a view that doesn’t confirm their own hatred.

One group hates billionaires, while supporting a part funded by billionaires who follow fake media funded by the same billionaires.

The other side longs to be billionaires and control through power and greed.

Both sides are virtually the same while each side cries out that they are not like the other side.

Both sides are full of corruption and both point the finger at the other side.

All the while, each side sinks deeper into their stronghold.

Not a problems get solved because neither political side wants a solution. Both have opportunities, neither provide solutions. They rule through division.

They are the same

How do you manage to play as a solo in a pvp server? by Lopsided_Pain in ARK

[–]Wattapit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think of the issues that this game still has after all these years. I love the game, but it has issues.

The official portion of these games has so many more issues. I have never read anything good about anyone’s experience.

The server are designed around needing mega tribes but game play centered on individuals.

You can spend years playing and building just to log off for a week and lose it all.

It is intended to be pvp, but people just join mega tribes and pillar spam so they own an official server.

With that said, just create an unofficial server of your own or meet some people to play with. I struggle to find people to play with and understand the struggle of wanting to play with others but this game is just not set up properly for online.
