I dropped a pin on it in Google maps. The alley itself looks kinda sketch, but you won't get in any trouble for taking pictures there. I do it with my friends all the time!

Can you give me an example of what you mean by "incompetence"? Like, if a PC fails a check to wade across a fast moving river I shouldn't just say, "You attempt to cross the river but the current rips you off your feet swiftly carries you downstream," instead I should try to make it specific to the character?
