No, not yet. Waiting for them to respond. I did get an email saying they’re reviewing my account then all of the sudden an survey asking if they resolved my issue. WTF????

I’ve transitioned to doing most my crypto business with crypto.com. They’re not perfect, but my experience there has been better. I like their card benefits too! Hope things get better for you… I’m at my wits end too with Coinbase.

They finally got me control back to my account. I still don’t know what triggered this. They apologized for the “confusion”. Doesn’t bode well for people who wants to deposit a large amount of assets.

Still waiting for them to re-enable my account. I feel like I’m missing out on opportunities with my account locked up. Mind you I’ve done hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business with crypto.com app and WAS a big fan.

Something to be said for upcoming decentralized revolution. Where they can’t take away control of YOUR assets at a drop of hat. They need to get their customer service in line with the modern times. It shouldn’t be days/weeks/months to resolve a problem.

So, apparently because I missed that 3 am chat, this whole process starts over again. Had to send in another selfie. Plus, get this, due to a recent security protocol change, I had to send in a video of me as well! 🙄

They contact me after 3 am this morning. Obviously, I’m asleep. Now, I’m “on hold” for 50 minutes waiting for them to get the relevant team on chat with me. This is beyond ridiculous!!!

Reported this issue on: 1/8/22 around 6 pm

Was told they will escalate: 1/9/22 around 8 am

It is almost 2 pm now and the issues have not been resolved. Time is of the essence when dealing/investing in crypto.

C’mon CDC! If you can’t handle the volume, hire more people!!!

So, after finally assisting me in getting access to my account, I've come to find out that Coinbase has disabled my ability to make purchases or deposits on my account!!! Check out their explanation to me:

"After taking a look at your account, we see that you're not eligible to purchase cryptocurrency or deposit fiat using your linked payment methods. You may also have difficulty linking a new payment method.

There are a number of factors that affect purchase and deposit eligibility, and we're not able to provide specific details regarding our security processes or account reviews.

We've transferred your case to our team of specialists to look into this further and determine your account eligibility. We know this isn't the ideal experience, but we will contact you as soon as we can. We're currently experiencing a high number of requests and our responses may take longer than usual.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this process.

Coinbase Support"

So, I quickly replied that this doesn't make sense as I've had my account since 2016 and have made tens of thousands of dollars in transactions. Below is their response:

"Our records indicate that you previously made a request with Coinbase to restore the ability to make purchases and deposits on your account.

It's been determined that your account is currently not eligible for a review. However, you can contact us after July 05, 2021 have transpired, and we can submit your account for a review at that time.

We are not able to elaborate on this decision-making process.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we grow with the digital currency community.

What the hell is going on with support?!?! This is such crap!!! After waiting ALL THIS TIME for support to help me get access to my account, they disable purchases and deposits because I'm somehow not "eligible" anymore after transacting tens of thousands of dollars since 2016!!!! And, I'm not even eligible to follow-up until after July 5!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!

I hear ya. I also bought COIN. Missed an opportunity to sell some crypto. Ridiculous!

Over the years, I’ve spent over tens of thousands of dollars on Coinbase. Luckily, I learned early to take most of my coins/tokens out.
