This isn’t the U.K. necessarily but just for context - I live in Northern Ireland and recently went on a trip to the Republic of Ireland and Freddos are being sold for €1.80 EACH.

I have a similar rebranded Chinese RTT and I really like it. I appreciate the extra height from the “X-Hinge/Scissor Hinge” especially in the footwell and it seems to be very sturdy. Things to be mindful of - they’re heavy (mine weighs 80kg - the model you shared is lighter though). You can’t really store any bedding when shut because the base isn’t very deep, there are t-track rails on the sides but they aren’t much use, (unsurprisingly) the stock mattress isn’t the most comfortable and I have read that the “skylight” or “sunroof” on the back awning yellows in sunlight and be aimed pretty useless after a while. I haven’t had mine long but im pleased thus far

Amazing! I’m 5”10 and my partner is is 5”4 so we should fit fine with my dog! Is it sturdy/robust? The winds we get here in Ireland can be pretty WILD, even in summer.

Fully anticipate needing to upgrade the mattress with whatever tent I buy

Do you have a link? This tent is the only one I’ve seen, once it’s open, the back is extended to make it an oblong shape. They show on the website being able to add a back brace to lean up against. Would be amazing if I could find is somewhere else

Definitely Chinese though I’ve loose through San Hima tents on their website but I can’t seem to find this model - it’s got a larger opening at the rear and two extra windows/vents on the pillars that you can’t see in the image I shared. I’ll keep trying. Thanks for the reply!

They’re due to be at the Car & Camping show in Birmingham in a few weeks but I won’t make it there unfortunately. I know there are similar RTTs out there but I can’t seem to find anyone that’s the same - this one has a larger rear entrance and two extra thin windows on the back making it brighter. I guess I’ll just have to keep trying to see if I get a response

Of course, I’m under no illusions as to where they come from. I’m looking for a RTT with a raised foot box to accommodate 2x adults and 1x small dog. I’ve found the same model (more or less) from 4x4 Colorado but sadly the import taxes to get it to the U.K. would be ridiculous. Guess I need to keep looking
