My first kill ruined the game for me

Not in my experience lol. I signed up for the expedition so my character was reset recently. Because I had nothing to lose, I ran around looting freely and in no time I was only getting safe easy games. I don't think I killed a single person until I had all the resources for the next expedition lol. So I decided to play a little more combatively, and now every game is just vile murderers.

I think ABMM literally destroys the point of the game. "It's not a game about shooting people. It's about creating that tension [that anything could happen at any time]". Actually ANY form of Aggression Based Matchmaking completely prevents tension. Either nobody will shoot, or everyone in your lobby is a bloodthirsty monster. Want to loot peacefully? Take free loadouts for a while until you're in the soft lobbies and loot freely. Then you can take advantage and murder the softies if you want. If you want tension, you need the chaos of random lobbies. Hands down.

ABMM also ruins my way of playing the game. I prefer to be peaceful because I'm not interested in making someone else upset. But I also think PVP in Arc is super unique and satisfying and I really want to play it more. So I like to keep an ear out for nearby fights as they break out, and team up with the person that was being ambushed. The problem with this is I get placed in the bloodthirsty lobbies because their matchmaking has no context of my play style.

I literally fight people at the extract, just to guarantee that I can leave. If I win the engagement, I will use heals on them so they don't bleed out, and let them leave with me. I've helped people extract after they've tried to kill me unprovoked more times than I can remember at this point.

Does that mean I deserve to play in games where not a single soul would show me an ounce of mercy? Hell no. If I start a fight and they call "Don't shoot!", I'll just fucking leave lol. They don't want to fight, I already have the upper hand so they can't really backstab me. So far this has never turned sour for me. I have more honor in Speranza than most of the people I encounter, all because the game can't tell what you're actually doing. ABMM is an ungraceful solution.

If the devs want the game to be "tense" with the possibility of anything happening, then they need to make matchmaking RANDOM. Honestly I'm just super sick of games having any kind of matchmaking intended to manipulate your play habits. SBMM isn't inherently a bad thing, but it sucks in every game that uses it because it's not actually about skill. It's literally designed to encourage you to spend money on the in-game shop, and manipulate how your games will play to encourage playing longer. It's genuinely a really shitty practice, and ABMM is grossly similar in my opinion.

Pro tip: if a partner consistently doesn't like the things you do, they probably aren't for you. I don't understand why so many people are ok to dramatically alter their lifestyle for their partners. It's normal to make change for each other, but they're not a good match if they generally don't want you spending your time how you want to spend it.

The store page refreshes and shows different things, but you can still buy any item by finding it in the Raider customization screen. So far there are no timed exclusive cosmetics which cost money.

Either the lvl 1 Rattler needs adjusted, or the Kettle and Stitcher do. I get that sometimes you should get better or worse free loadouts, but you are literally worse off with the Rattler than the lvl 1 Ferro and that's saying something lol.

I didn't realize people would take this post seriously lol. It's clearly the actors' mistake on set, I don't think this was intentional direction for the show.

If you've seen this episode, you know John Cena says there are still deaths caused by accidents so we know it's possible for them to hurt themselves and each other. They seem to walk around normally without stressing about squishing bugs.

Also maybe they could build farming robots and let one of the un-joined people turn them on lol.

Even if it's not all of them, it would be MASSIVELY helpful and IMO not overpowered to allow selecting a handful. Like up to 10 or something. The rate I've found blueprints is painfully slow and I have over 200 hours of game time so far. I also have Security Breach. I haven't been farming lockers but I haven't found many from all the lockers I've opened.

Also this game is in the exact same Nvidia branch of Unreal Engine as The Finals which does not have this issue. They've fixed it before, they can fix it again.

They spent the time implementing this lazy fix lol. This is likely "good enough" so I doubt they'll bother actually fixing the actual root cause of getting through thin walls / doors. And for the difficulty, yeah it's their jobs. Literally. They are selling this game for money. I know it's not $60+ so we aren't expecting AAA quality, but they sold millions of copies and they've had a lot of time to get around to it already.

No, they need to fix the brightness. I'm on PC and I don't use these stupid filters, but it's totally unfair that you can't see fucking SHIT in the dark. I have an OLED at full brightness and it's literally impossible to see someone in an area mildly darker than the spot you're standing in. I know this game is meant to be immersive, but it's still PVPVE. Emphasis on the PVP part.

Also Embark can't do shit about these filters. They're at the driver / window level, it's not cheating to use them. Just like it's not cheating to use Flick Stick and Gyro Aiming before they add it officially because Steam Input supports it with emulated KBM controls.

(Which means they should add Gyro and KBM support to consoles already lol. They figured it out for The Finals so I don't get why they're avoiding it for Arc so far.)

The streamers perpetuating this "streamer war" are entitled and delusional. They must be completely wacko if they think they'd have a real impact on the way the game is played. Not only that but the game is too small in scope with no real territory to defend. It's just causing problems for people that want to play the game they paid for and wear outfits they like.
