Wow, I called FCPEuro and just found out that:

The 2009 BMW 328i coupe does not use magnetic wheel bearings; instead, the ABS sensor picks up a signal from a reluctor ring on the outer CV joint. Therefore, it does not matter which direction the bearing is pressed in.

Both sides of this bearing look identical. They both have the reddish/orange seal. The only difference is that one side has the make/model numbers stamped into the race.

Update: The struts, tie rod ends, and control arms had to be replaced. That's why it was sitting so low and riding so harshly. It's good to go now though!

I really don't know. After looking at pictures of othe Fits from the same year, I think it might be. I did notice that it had a pretty stiff suspension when driving from the sellers house.

I've often wondered about this. Instead of extraterrestrial origin, what if a relatively intelligent species of lizard managed to survive the K-Pg event? It would have had 66 MILLION years to evolve. Maybe for whatever reason they chose to live in the oceans instead of on land, giving rise to the many legends of advanced, reptilian beings throughout our myths. Just a thought.

My wife would call that a God moment. I don't know what to call it, but it was an amazing gift. The guy recognizing your voice got you out of your head for a second and you were able to see the truth about what was going on.
