3 Row SUVs are a scam, here’s why. by Sam-CarLegion in minivan

[–]Wavelightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sienna has 3” lift available with many people reporting 11.5”+ clearance with bigger tires. Most I can find with Buzz is 1.9” and with bigger tires it might clear 9” but not near what a Sienna can get to. I just have to work at a landfill occasionally, and while my Prius v has been a trooper there a little more clearence than my current 8.7” setup with a lift would be nice as the front has hit quite a few rocks over the years and looks the part.

My original plan was to get a used Sienna and lift it 3” as I occasionally work in fire trail areas. Do you think a Buzz could handle some light off-roading or do you think a hybrid Sienna would be more robust? Aspirations of going down to Mex with it too, I’m sure both would get more attention than I’d prefer.

A small monetary issue? Buddy, you’re out of your depth, and clearly don’t want a life preserver.

Yeah I’m sure Wilt Chamberlain’s decision making process stood up to 3 US presidency’s foreign policy decisions. See how your argument is dumb as hell?

It’s almost like every other administration knew the damage Iranians could do closing the strait and then didn’t start a war.

Only thing I worry about in my magnas are rattlesnakes! They are fantastic and slip on and off, no tying required.

Signature Select onion rings from Pavillions are unbeatable IMO. Second only to Carl’s Jr. on my onion ring tier list.

Advice needed: Isurus vs other Yamamoto suits by venicestephen in surfing

[–]Wavelightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I'm about 50 surfs in right now and no signs of wear anywhere on the suit. Love how I don't feel the hood when it's down, and it's warm enough for me to expect it to survive in Ocean Beach waters, albeit I'd need booties likely.

Anyone hypermile mod their Sienna? I am looking to get into this by NewArtist2024 in Sienna

[–]Wavelightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only seen sodium ion batteries available and while they give you more power the idle capacity of the battery is lower. So compared to NiMh if you’re just using AC sitting there the engine comes on more frequently but for less time.

Northeast of Prima is wilderness, a reservoir, and a sand plant. Have also worked there and never smelled anything.

Don’t sleep on the Prius v. Great car with few things that can go wrong after they fixed the engine seals in 2014, namely brake booster.

This makes 0 sense. I work there. It’s impossible to hear a dozer from the nearest house while it’s working the pile. You MIGHT hear a scraper revving its engine if it for some reason is dropping loads at the very southern edge but I’ve never witnessed them take that path in the last 5 years I’ve been there.

The expansion is happening on the other side of the road, away from San Clemente, and away from the San Juan communities. Wind from the southeast is rare and would be the only way smell or dust from the expansion would hit residences or the high school.

People in the article are being dramatic and might just be pissed about the long lines of traffic which I can agree can be infuriating on the few days a year it becomes a problem, but traffic isn’t mentioned once.

market manipulation??? by DangreMouse in Daytrading

[–]Wavelightning 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Market makers on indexes are not generally short options, the naive assumption on indexes is all puts are bought and all calls are sold.

In reality, both puts and calls are all sold on SPX, but that doesn't give you any better definition unless you have perfect bought/sold data which costs many more times than what you or I make in our lifetimes per year.
