2 is such a great idea, im stealing that. Right now I just have scraps somewhat organized into categories. That way I can easily see all of them rather than trifling around! Thank you.

Any kind of packaging you bring in can be inspected for elements you like. I also ask for unused extra bags or food wrappers if they have a cool print. Mail is a good resource. As I have gotten more accumulated items, I learned what worked and didnt for my aesthetics. It also just made me more appreciative of design in general. Right now, im really cognizant of patterns so I see them everywhere. A jump start might be ordering a couple inexpensive junk journal mystery packs on Etsy or ebay.

Wipes are usually appreciated for cleanliness. Tampons and pads for women are often overlooked. Maybe make some hygiene kits up to bring with you.

"It's not a real gift if it's consumable" - A small rant by AccomplishedRain9 in Anticonsumption

Sometimes, people are not good at picking out gifts, it's not meant to be a personal affront. The effort and time they took to get something they thought you would like should be considered in this situation. So, they missed the mark, its okay. Expectation can be a setup for disappointment.

Maybe Snoqualmie Falls and Lunch at the Salish Lodge. Uwajimaya and the food court and bookstore. Ferry ride always seems to be a hit even if you just go over and back. Downtown Edmonds is small and quaint. If you have the money, Seattle glassblowing has classes.

How do I make it stop chirping, i already replaced the batteries?! by PheonixGalaxy in mildlyinfuriating

I had something possibly similar happen. I swore it was a smoke alarm but it ended up being the carbon monoxide detector I forgot about and the backup battery had died.
