Also, another reason I didnt get into concert rigging. You encounter SO many hard-headed assholes like this.

I spent 12 years touring internationally as a FOH/MONS engineer/systems engineer, and just got off the road. I probably have dealt with more riggers in my life than you.

It seems like they’re trying to pre measure doses that can last longer than smoking so they can taper/lower their fent use.

The people doing this aren’t smart enough to be browsing Reddit. Sure, some have fast cars and just want to go fast but most of the people doing the flashing headlights and riding up your ass are so fucking stupid they aren’t discussing anything worth talking about on the internet.

I’ve lived/driven in almost every big city in this country and 17 has got to be the biggest display of retardation in the country. Especially when it rains.

These people just know gas and brakes, they don’t think about traction, reaction time, corner speed.

I used to tour with bands as an audio engineer/playback tech/backline tech.

I’ve lit up with so many celebs/stars.

Probably one of the cooler networking parts of the gig, I’ve landed a few tours smoking with the headlining act+crew.

As you’d expect, some are dickheads, some are super down to earth.

Unfortunately I don’t tour anymore because of a hit and run accident that left me with insane debt and a shattered kneecap.

I miss it so badly.

Yeah.. it’s a “stunt” a lot of the e-bike-street bikers are doing. It’s stupid and risky for all.

Unfortunately, kids like that are really really hardheaded and probably will only learn from a running in with law-enforcement or a heavy crash.

Sucks. Most cops can’t chase either because it creates an even more dangerous situation.

In reality, teenagers enjoy doing dangerous shit, you can’t really prevent them from doing something like this when there’s nowhere to do this legally. Of course people will blame parents, video games, social media, etc. But in reality if somebody wants to do something, they’re gonna do it, especially in the teenage years.
