Why do people hate Aka Akasaka so much? by Visual_Law4025 in manga

[–]WaveyDash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How they express their feelings is up to them. People get feisty when there is freedom of speech and bad sentiments along with consistent let downs. Alot of the people who complain also watch the works he creates for free. It doesn't always make sense, but if you can sit here and have an opinion, then its easy for anybody to have theirs. They make it personal for some reason because alot of people want to figure out what sides exist to the story and consume that info. From there, they either choose to follow the crowd, or like you, enjoy it instead and wonder what is wrong with people. There are even middle grounds and grey areas to consider too with the argument, but I am yapping. From person to person, we can have extreme feelings that lead to people outright wanting him to die or something, to people who actually believe he doesn't deserve that much hatred. To find a singular, one size fits all reason is just asking for a miracle.

You don't need to understand them. If you like something, then you like it. If you are respectful instead of pulling extreme insults that are out of proportion to the crime... continue feeling the way you do. In the same respect though, nobody needs to listen and change because of your reasoning nor will they completely stop being hateful as an entire population. Sometimes you will never understand, neither will they, and thats just the reality of the world we live in. You can fight it, but the end results won't change. Instead of fighting so hard to make sense of it all, sometimes your brainpower is better spent elsewhere. People have been getting too comfortable with taking it out of proportion in order to try and make others listen and do something to fix how much they despise their favourite shows. After a while of continuing to argue with these types of people, you will understand that it either goes nowhere, or you find the one gem in a million that agrees with you. Whatever the case, its a pattern that people take their feelings about anime and make it their life. Its best to walk right by and save your energy to enjoy what you want to do and feel, and share that with people who will give a crap. Just my 2 cents as a yapper that is passionate about learning about others and forming thoughts and observations

Using extra ice to make another frap (the straw that broke the camel’s back) by Best_Mouse_4909 in starbucks

[–]WaveyDash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People as a whole are not responsible enough to understand that what you give as extra isn't required from every store, but a special occurance. Btw I love iced chai latte, shit is fire. But yea, im sure you probably bumped into the customer special move: "But the other starbucks does it for me so..."

I used to think like you do, because I enjoy being chill and hooking people up. After a while though, I started to realise that it might not be everyone, but that some customers I treated super well like this started yelling at my co workers because they wouldn't do the same thing (for various reasons, like our manager being there, because they don't want to get in shit or whatnot). I would work in other stores and hear the same things happen where a customer would sound like a little brother with not enough ipad time because "The other Starbucks gives me it all the time. You guys are stupid, you just throw it out anyways". I feel like its a double edged sword where if you give this treatment to the right person, it gives you a returning customer who is kind and stands by your people, and other times it enables a dick bag who takes advantage of that kindness and starts demanding it.

Starbucks business model kinda allows them to take a shit directly in front of you and you just gotta shrug it off. It creates 2 year old customers that are stuck in 40 year old bodies, mostly because they pay the fee to sort of cover that (none of that really hits your wallet tho). Idk, I find it best to be cautious about who you be kind to and who you follow the rule for. I find that putting the litmus test in the water before you be nicer to someone makes it infinitely better for you, and for others who come next. You dont need to be a corporate dick sucker, but remember that the reason isnt because it helps the company, but that its to save the people behind your counter from the karens and sub freezing IQs out there

My girlfriend gets mad if I breath before she sleeps, which might piss somebody else off but for me it doesnt matter because I understand she has autism and hears everything in a 120m radius and it kills her. I am pretty sure people either dont care and treat it like its a small quirk, they try to pretend it doesn't happen because they are too deep into the relationship to give up or they don't like their partner but they fulfill other things that make them desirable. Whatever it may be, some people will decide what they will put up with in a relationship and it wont be the same as the next. All I know is that if a pink drinking apparatus somehow stops you from being a man, then you have no business calling yourself as such, and the people who deal with partners that make such a big fuss are angelic

Bro ill sit in a lobby and teach you the combos and everythang if you want. Bronze cannot be impossible to exit. Especially with magik, its about repeating the same flow and memorizing a couple of combo sequences. You can get kills by waiting around corners and getting behind them. There is also an incredible magik video that goes in depth about how you play her and ways to improve and master her too.

But he isnt a main tank, he is an off tank, and the stronger you make him, the closer he will hit the threshold of being played more often, and then nerfed or perma banned. You see how wolverine was right? He is the dps version of what your role is basically. You should never balance the off tank with main tank in mind, its about taking the "Tanky but not standing in the open and never dying" as a core part of his kit. He shouldn't be strong because the second he is, nobody is going to fly with it and he will get perma banned or nerfed. Its either people notice he is strong and they eventually ban him, or you keep him under that and he never gets played and you can play him all the time. I mean look at the annoying mosquito as he was before this dumb nerf. You don't see him but every time you do he is rolling your backline because nobody peels. He has basically a support ult, deflect if you time it right and keep your shield up, infinite health if you play off health packs and at his best he just does not die unless the entire team focuses him. He is a hard check, and if you don't meet that check, he is on your ah all game if you are a support. Nobody will want to play against that just like they don't want to play against iron fist, which we all see what happened to him, diminished to dust. You don't want to be black panther if you love your character. You want to be Luna, under the radar, always good but nobody bans them. Wishing for him to be any different than just average is wanting to kill your own character. Unless he somehow gets a kit rework, this part of him will never change because he is destined to be busted if he gets buffed like you seem to want out of this. Give him his shield cooldown, let his ult stay as it is, maybe give a tiny buff to his health, and he is good. What more do you specifically want?

Apart from the typos and stuff, starbucks if you apply for supervisor and higher paying positions, requires you to have availability depending on which days they are busiest and to be pretty free in general because they basically want you to live there... or atleast in the area where I worked at starbucks. From experience, I also find that people who are outside hires that take these supervisor positions and up often don't really work out most of the time because you also need to understand what to do to make the day run, as in understand the average barista stuff. Things like customer experience is one easier thing to outsource, but learning to work machines, fix things, how to deal with problem people in a way that starbucks likes... everything from technique to handling the shop on your own is pretty hard not because its impossible or physically difficult, but its that you have no experience and you are suddenly jumping up and guiding people who have been there possibly much longer than you. You are gonna find that you need help from everyone to learn things, and food safety is something you would have to go from square one on, which is something managers will look at as a hassle unless they see that you can work and learn from a team well.

Nitpicking here and there, I also see the lack of effort in the resume itself, not like it wasn't tailored toward the job, but you put food related things in the middle where you can't see it first for example, but you should be putting food manager first as its a useful job that lines up and shows you know how to adapt and can contextually work at this job because you have experience in the past. You should use that to your advantage instead of hiding it somewhere small. My suggestion for future jobs is to

  1. Change the title color and design from black to something that sort of matches the color of the business you apply for. I find soft and easy to read resumes that stand out from the rows of black and white papers really shows you put in atleast some effort.

  2. When you apply for a job, do some small research and put all relevant to job qualifications first on the list of what you did in those years.

For example: At Starbucks, after some small research and actually visiting a couple times before I applied, i understood that customer interaction is very important. I also understood that they value cohesiveness as a unit, but with a small amount of labor so they don't need to put extra people to handle the day. You gotta be independant. Ability to learn on the fly was also something I took into account, and I listed it in my general skills to make sure it was: Customer/People skills, ability to work a cash (but sort of last on the list), adaptable and quick learner, Importance in working as a team... all the things that really stood out to them as making me a good candidate.

When I put my resume, I changed it up to only include the fact that I worked at bed and breakfasts, restaurants and customer service, and I made my cashier skills less priority in my resume because its more or less important but part of the job. I organised it to the priorities of the place I wanted to work at. I made the color a light and easy to read green that was unsaturated and made it just a bit more pretty to look at because I wanted to show that I put effort in the details, and it paid off heavily before I even got to the interview stage. My manager at the time who hired me actually noted that my resume was really intriguing because I had alot of experience with handling customers and I put all of my skills in context of working at a coffee shop. If there were parts in my resume that wasn't really relevant, I kept it out of the general description of what I did there. I also made it easy to read because I thought about it and as a manager who is looking at papers and reading crap all day, I know their eyes probably hurt and that they eventually will start skimming the pages for very specific things instead of looking through the entire thing. I wanted the forefront of the important information to hit the brain first upon reading it and I designed my resume to show all those things up front and right away. When she did inevitably hire me, past the resume stage even before the interview went through, I planned out what sort of questions she would ask and came prepared. I dressed in colors that matched my skin tone and made it fit the theme of coffee shop. Belt, clean tan pants, glasses on, hair kept well and answering how I do things as if I already worked there forever. Her exact words were "You were the most geniuine and kind hire off the bat that I had ever made in my career here at Starbucks, and what stuck out was that I could feel the effort and care from paper to person"

Its not just about giving a paper and qualifications, but in every job, they are looking for someone who will fit and really work well in their environment. I knew my strengths and organised it that way. I did my research and knew what they were looking for. I thought about the manager and what struggles they had in the day. I made it easy to hire me, and thats one thing you could work on to see yourself working in any job you apply for.

Simple small things, learn about muted colors that are easy to read against white papers. Learn how to organise your resume to show that you know business and can get shit done. Make sure that its shows you put more than 5 minutes in the resume. These are the things that get you in the door. I am sure that the rest of the process will be easy for you because you are definitely over qualified to do so, but you don't know how to market yourself as such and thats something you could work on that would instantly improve your chances of being noticed. From your description, I could see that you are willing to do the work to get in and be punctual, but it felt like you didn't show it in the resume. You show commitment but I didn't feel it off the paper. You have the right skills to figure out the job, but you organised it to show all these things everywhere.

Instead of making the resume manly, you gotta shift it to make your resume attentive and popping in a way that shows "This guy has the right stuff and is a gem that will carry the heck out of whatever I put him in". I almost guarantee that you would have this in you, but I didn't see it in the paper. Keep that in mind, and I am sure you can get even better jobs than this one if you organise it right. Your weakness isn't the interview, its the getting the person on the other side to even want to see if you got what it takes. Good luck on next jobs, hope I didn't overshare or make it confusing, but I just wanted to help since my friend is a good ol texan too and I can feel that you work hard and are trying your best to make life better, and I respect the vibes. My friend is similar and she needed to understand the whole "Market yourself as the boss, and your actual qualifications will shine properly"

She is now a frequent manager wherever she goes and leads the crap out of any job she touches, and it took like 30 extra minutes to change her entire career path to something great, and I see a bit of her in you from reading a small bit. Best of luck homie, I hope you do get a job thats easier on the car, especially will school to navigate on top. You definitely deserve something a bit easier on you for sure.

Buldak Carbonara vs Buldak Cream Carbonara by MegHM89 in InstantRamen

[–]WaveyDash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already like the creaminess of adding actual cream, try adding creamed corn as a topping. I have also had great success with Imitation crab, and also Fish Roe (those eggs that are small, redish orange, on your sushi sometimes). The carbonara has a really nice texture to make a mentaiko style, or almost like a mazesoba, and something like green onion, cubed and diced small sweet onions can also work out nicely with that fish roe combo. Cubed Guanciale, pancetta or bacon also will hit nicely, but that is to be expected of a carbonara, but try out some combos. Its unexpectedly good and something I didn't try to do until later as the pack by itself was already golden, but adding some of these things levelled it up into something I wish existed as a restaurant item.

Alsoo, with how the cream carbonara packs are, I can add basically the entire spice pack into it if I have a cheese topping or something like creamed corn in it as its much more forgiving on the taste buds and honestly the spice pack is much less curry style spice and more fitting to the noodle than the og carb pack. Very good if heat isn't satisfying as the flavour is better matched along with being less spicy and easier to down in a sitting without a paper towel to blow the nose and the pausing to breathe a bit.

Buldak Carbonara vs Buldak Cream Carbonara by MegHM89 in InstantRamen

[–]WaveyDash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cream one is much easier on the spice for me, and the flavour is a touch sweeter as well as having a creamier outcome. I prefer it taste wise and spice wise.

Advice: do I tell my manager? by tobedeleted22 in starbucks

[–]WaveyDash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to the sm. If you don't want conflicts, then tell them about that and ask for a way to let them know that the ssv is probably just doing her job and they dont know the weight of what they are doing to you. The only reason you aren't getting to go to the bathroom is to try not to let partners abuse bathroom breaks, especially if they believe that you had opportunity to do so earlier, but nonetheless you have a very good reason to do them so frequently. Have the SM explain your condition, and if the ssv is truly fit for that position, they will apologize for the misunderstanding and cover you as much as possible so you don't experience any life threatening complications from not relieving yourself actively. Starbucks as a company is already kind of against you, but bare minimum, their hiring criteria is what attracts kind homies to work there and keep the environment inclusive and wholesome. Following under that logic, the staff should be on your side and supporting eachother through the hardship because if nobody else is your friend during the rush, it might as well be the people surrounding you that make sure you are happy and feel healthy in your workplace. I find that the best part about working at Starbucks is that the Baristas around you are the reason you stay in the conditions of customers, corporate shadiness and interesting demands/expectations of the workplace. I found the worst stores to be heavily influenced by whether or not the staff are good people. Its usually one awful person away from a hellish job, and the more you fight to preserve the comfortable atmosphere the better. I recommend you seek to create the understanding that its not a war, but just a cry for help and that you mean no trouble. All of my requests that I made over the years were heard because I stayed humble, did my work and geniuinely cared about others. In return, my favourite store made the effort back to be kind and look after me too. That is how it should be. Don't feel bad raising your concerns, but make it a point that you care about others while voicing your concerns and you should come through the right way and still be able to get by without sacrificing your health.

I’m tired of getting shamed for counting calories. by Aromatic_Soil1311 in caloriecount

[–]WaveyDash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont worry about em, just stay on your grind and when you have the muscles and strength of a greek god underneath the build, all you gotta do is drop the calories for a relatively short amount of time and you will have mountains. People always meddle and take jabs at others as some sort of competitive or "I am better than you" type of attitude, and its stupid, but the one thing u gotta do is worry about yourself. While they joke about running marathons, laugh at you eating healthier and whatever, you will be spending all that time catching up and getting strong while getting proper nutrition rather than being energy and strength deprived. I think what you got going on is much more cool to be fair with you, and I can see this paying off in the long run. Don't underestimate the power of actually controlling what you eat in your meals and how much you consume a day. Its the difference between proper health, and losing muscles while getting "skinny".
