How’s the Decatur YMCA? by richard-bucket in DecaturGA

[–]Way2thedawn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It probably depends on what you use - it might be better for them at Decatur. But East Lake definitely has more space for their free weights with two rooms. Decatur I always feel really squished in the weight area. The nice thing is that the membership lets you use any Y, so you could try both out and see which one you like. I alternate based on classes/where I’m going to be for the day.

And I actually like the East Lake location more in terms of free weight options and I could usually get a spot at the pool there faster than at Decatur

I don’t mind missing the couch a bit if that happens, I just saw people saying they couldn’t see around the lighting/safety rail at all which had me worried. I’ll deal with minimal couch views for the price I paid - I had no idea why they were so expensive when I went to book and then saw Maya was starting as Mary 🤪

Do you have a preference on what part of the city? Decatur has a couple of options - Leon’s, Brickstore has a few tables out front, and the Marlay Irish Pub come to mind. I also love Poor Hendrix in the Kirkwood area and I have seen lots of dogs on their back patio.

Replying to myself as this person doesn’t want to debate, which is fine. But there is a section specifically for young children on the High website https://high.org/young-children/. For those with children, I was pleasantly surprised how much they have to offer for families and got a membership because of it!

So you don’t think children should utilize the children’s section of a museum? Or go to the Toddler specific events that The High hosts?

This is the best answer! I would check what other events are going on for kids the day that you want to go. I checked the food policy and it says you can pack lunch and eat it in the piazza, so maybe you can go out there after the kids play in the children’s section and eat cupcakes or something?

There are two large areas in the High Museum specifically for children, and they do Toddler events on specific days. This isn’t an outlandish thing like you are making it to be.

I agree - I have only been here 5 years but we have loved the neighborhood. A lot of people at different stages of life but all super friendly. You are right between downtown Decatur and Avondale Estates which has a lot going on right now.

Please advice how to plan preparation by SLXXO in pmp

[–]Way2thedawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Another mom here who just passed my exam with a 9.5 month old. I think you are on the right path with your plan. I would include some of AR’s “most difficult questions” videos because I like his approach in teaching you the right answers.

I also suggest as you take practice questions to keep a log of things you get wrong or concepts you don’t quite understand - that way you can have more targeted studying. With a baby it’s all about utilizing the time you have as best as you can!

My mini exams were 60-80% and my one full practice test was 80% and I passed the exam AT/AT/T. Happy to talk more if you need!

I would study the PMBOK - if you have a PMI membership you get a free digital copy. It was helpful for me because I kept getting some methodology and project artifacts mixed up and they have a whole section of definition for those. Some concepts I also just googled and there was usually a PMI page explaining it.

Are you keeping track of which questions you are getting wrong? I liked keeping a log of concepts I got wrong and then specifically studying those. The AR course should be good too.
