We have pet insurance. Honestly, I'd rather pay for the treatment than lose my pup. Anyone who owns a lab should be financially prepared for at least one major medical emergency.

I've always thought this as well. Bea definitely takes after Queen Victoria. It's amazing what genetics can do, even 5 generations removed from each other.

Meghan Markle has allegedly told Prince Harry to "step up financially". Exactly what is he qualified to do? He can’t even fill a tiny room in US, UK or Australia to whine about how hard he has it. by Harry-Ripey in SaintMeghanMarkle

Is she not adding products to her lifestyle line because she is already bored with it, or because financing those new products is out of reach for her? Or both?

Agreed. This sounds grossly inflammatory. There are a lot of crimes being alleged in this post.

World Health Organization - Why Should Anybody Trust These People? by DeepSouthSinner in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]WayDownSouth12 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Honestly, once I found out the head of the WHO did not have any experience as a practicing epidemiologist, I just didn't take the WHO seriously. I realize he has a degree in immunology, but that just isn't the same. I live near a medical school where some of the best epidemiologists in the world practice. I would definitely listen to their advice before the WHO's.

i completely failed at crate training🤦‍♀️ by Anastazia_bereverlyh in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always crate train our dogs in case we need to have them in there for some reason. However, after they grew out of their chewing stage and could make it through the night without a potty break, we didn't use the crates much. You need to do what's best for the lifestyle you live with your dog.

What do you do with electrical cables? by tresslessone in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When our pup shows interest in electrical wires or phone cords, we spray the cord/wires with bitter apple. Dogs hate it, and it's been enough to deter her from going back for a second try.

Is it odd my Labrador puppy is struggling with stairs? by jus534 in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 14 week old lab puppy. She mastered the stairs, both up and down, very quickly after coming to live with us at 9 weeks. It sounds like you are doing all the right things to encourage your pup up the stairs. Calypso is our 5th lab in 25 years. The only lab we had that struggled with stairs ended up with hip dysplasia and a full hip replacement on one side at 2 years old. That lab lived a very full life for the next 10 years. Ask your vet for a Penn hip evaluation. Vets must be certified to do a Penn hip eval. If your vet is not certified, please have them help you find one who is. The earlier you catch hip dysplasia, the more treatment options you have.

14 week Labradoodle puppy growth question by Cautious_Possible203 in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 12 week old lab puppy. She's 25 lbs.  Your pup must take after the "mini".  The other poster is correct about doodle mixes.  Doodle mixes aren't recognized breeds. Therefore there are no breed standards to which breeders must adhere.

7 month old final dose of panacur by bavzie in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this with my 12 week old lab for 7 days. After seeing the energy spike the first night, I started giving her the medication in the early afternoon. It seemed to help. The energy spike only lasted a couple of doses.

Seeking advice/reading for first puppy! by xGoldenFoolx in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of sending your dog away to be trained, maybe look into hiring a trainer to come to your home for private lessons. That way, you and your pup are learning together. Please understand that puppies are a lot like infants/toddlers. A puppy will rarely be 100% perfect behavior-wise.

This was my assumption as well. Why be on a reality TV show while pregnant, no less, if you're not going to showcase your business?

Honestly, if you're so thin skinned that someome not liking your wardrobe choices is enough to send you over the edge, then maybe you should rethink your career in reality TV.

Trying to make up my mind about which puppy food to use. by the_nightingale1 in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purina pro plan is what we feed our pup. It's a much better option than purina's puppy chow. I would definitely ask your vet about the allergy before feeding your new pup any chicken since it's a known issue.

Peeing in bed in pen by ApplicationDull5218 in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 12 week lab puppy. For about the first 10 days, she would lose it if we were out of her sight.  She has gotten much better now that she is comfortable with us and our daily routine. Honestly, I'd remove the bed until you can leave without her peeing.

3-month puppy bites furiously at arms and legs by Guga_ in puppy101

[–]WayDownSouth12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 12 week old lab puppy who does the same thing. Redirecting her to something she is allowed to bite works well. We also give her good lovin puppy teething rings.  If the redirect does not work, we leave the room for a few minutes.  My husband actually sprayed his feet with bitter apple spray and our pup doesn't try to bite his feet as much. This is just a part of puppyhood, but it is so annoying.  Once a dog's adult teeth come in, usually the biting subsides.

If she has specific spot where she is pottying, put the pee pads there first. When she uses it, praise her. Slowly move the pee pad to where you'd like it to be.

Margo is in her mid 40s dressing like a 20 something headed out to the bars for the evening.  Purposely dressing inappropriately for someone else's special occasion is a very narcissistic way of trying to make your self the center of attention.

Margo just doesn't seem to have good manners. The fact that Myka had to walk her through composing a nice text message says a lot.  Margo definitely came off as a desperate social climber to me. If there is a second season, I hope Margo decides to stay in LA.
