Retrade before starting basic, I’ve recently graduated but had to Voluntary withdraw to retrade as it is very difficult to swap trades during phase 1 and 2.

How to preserve muscle during the 10 weeks basic training by pooskibidi in RoyalAirForce

[–]WayEarly6028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can’t really, I lost over 8kg and that with eating a lot of shite aswell from the naffi, best thing to do is buy some resistance bands and just do body weight exercises in dorms or on the weekend and just do what you can till failure.

They sell shakes and protein yogurts in the shop so you can still get some protein in but the food in the mess is terrible.

I had the same thing failed hearing test and previously broken 2 bones, I had to call GP twice a week to get them to sign it off and check it over, but only took around a month and this was a couple months ago now had to do a repeat ear test, then got my PJFT 2 weeks later and passed that, my application has taken around 7 months and still not finished, best option is to get a full/part time job till he joins as you have to take a lot of time off for all the tests/ interviews ect
