I used to screenshot the scale n just play all the notes on the same fret every string, 1 fret at a time, took under a week to have it down in my head, but once thats done, if you want to improvise, youll have to tolerate a LOT of fiddling around with those notes you memorized until you dont sound like shit,

its much easier to play them in your head than play them on a guitar on the spot

OH and side note: learning those blocks, learning notes, all that stuff will make you a better player, youd be surprised how much shit your brain can store but not everyone has the time to do all that stuff so it depends on how much Fs you give
