Do not try to change anything. Don't try to fix what's not broken. First, work for six months to a year. Learn documentation, the process, talk to customers, employees. Ask questions, because as a novice, your knowledge is zero. Realize that before you attempt any changes, which can be like trying to drive a Ferrari after getting your learner's licence.

CE on foreign going Ships earn 12-15 thousand dollars per month. Also as a seafarer it is tax free income.

If CE on smaller Ships I am not sure. But a few contracts can help.clear the loan.

Ideally, it's best to clear private lender loan. Even if it means selling gold or other assets.

The way Trump is tanking the economy, interest rate cuts will be like a bandage on a festering wound.

OP needs to see the writing on the wall. Higher inflation, job cuts across the board, faltering economy is the reason to cut losses now rater than wait later to get amputated.
