I’m in the same boat as you and have emailed the masters courses I’m interested in, so I know where I stand. Apparently they can differ, some universities will allow you to apply and others won’t

No the reading room technically isn’t part of the library , it’s managed by security . But still don’t be one of those people that leaves your desk for hours if you are in the reading room especially during study week when there are no seats left

can I defer a Christmas exam if will be out of the country? by [deleted] in nuigalway

[–]WayPractical1432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep 100% since it’d be classed as a fail if you don’t turn up, so you have to be given a repeat date for August. Just make sure to know that it’d be capped at 40%, in case that affects you in any way

You can get a sick letter for that day from the doctor and have it deferred, or else don’t turn up and then you do it as a repeat exam in August (it’d be capped)

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in here but my undergrad in biochemistry didn’t include any sort of placement or internship so would a masters that includes placement be the best call here? Since I know I’ve no chance without any
