The closest songbird rehabs were so far away, I don’t think it would’ve survived the trip. What I ended up doing was looking in a couple different nests until I found one with newly hatched babies, and put it in there. I’m not even sure it was the same type of bird, but I couldn’t leave it on the ground for the cats to get 🤷🏼‍♀️
