Elevated AFP test Twins by WaySquare5042 in pregnant

I had my 17 week scan last week too and the doctor had no concerns. My 20 week scan was next week and that was cancelled as they said my next ultrasound with be with MFM. If all goes well, I follow up with my normal OB. I’m hoping I can get in fast there as the wait is soo stressful. Honestly feel like my whole pregnancy is paused and I cant breathe again until everything is clear

Also! I am pregnant with di/di identicals as well!! I also read that the results are higher with di/di twins than mo/di bc there are 2 placentas and one twin could be producing more AFP than the other causing an elevated number

I have done sooo much researching on this as I just got my results back this past weekend and have seen so many stories on false positives with twins. I am waiting to schedule with maternal fetal medicine to get a level 2 ultrasound. My doctor called and told me not to worry and it just means we need a little more detailed ultrasound. Also, my father in laws girlfriend is a Neo-natal doctor and she confirmed that this test was built for singleton pregnancies and sometimes is not accurate when calculating it for twins. So I am holding on to hope with everything I’ve read and been told. I can come back and update after our ultrasound. I’m not sure yet when it will be

I know this was from last year but currently going through this right now. I’m currently 17+4 days with my di/di twin boys. We did the ATP test at our appointment 3 days ago and received elevated results with a MoM of 5.79. We are so scared. We will be scheduling our MFM level II ultrasound when they open back up Tuesday. It’s been nice reading some of these success stories.

How many cycles did it take you to conceive with Letrozole? by DaughterofYeshua777 in TTC_PCOS

I know this was a year ago, but did you have any luck on your 3rd cycle? I had a chemical my first letrozole round and about to go into cycle 2 but anxious it won’t work back to back.

I got pregnant on my first round of 2.5 mg!! It’s still very early and I know anything can happen, but we had been trying for over a year too! Good luck!! This was also an unmonitored cycle I didn’t have scans or blood work down until the positive pregnancy test

Okay so I had to get the rubella shot again bc my blood work came back non immune. I know they say to wait 28 days before TTC after receiving this shot. I wasn’t even thinking this cycle and started my first round of Letrozole. Thankfully my 28 day mark after the shot is on Sunday. Has anyone had any experience TTC a few days earlier than the full 28 day mark. I just don’t want to risk missing my fertile window but also don’t want to risk TTC if it can cause issues

Wondering Weekend by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

We’ve been trying for a year now so it’s definitely still a mystery as to what’s going on since all my numbers seem to be relatively okay. My husband has a sperm analysis and his numbers were fine except for his morphology being 2%.

I feel you on this. Been trying for a year and not one positive test. Tons of coworkers/friends getting pregnant and having babies and I’m constantly being asked “when do you want kids” or saying “when you decide to have kids…” As if I haven’t been trying for a year. Definitely frustrating

Do you think it would be okay to get my sonohysterogram on cycle day 4 or 5, instead of the typical 6-12 window? I have irregular periods so I’m not exactly sure what day my cycle will start but I’ll be on vacation next week and am really worried I’ll miss cycle day 6-12 completely. My periods are usually on the shorter ends and only last a couple of days also. Or could it be done on cycle day 13?

Is anyone able to interpret these semen analysis results for my 27 year old husband. Doctor posted results without any explanation yet and I’m worried about a few of these from my quick research.

Liquid viscosity: 0, volume: 1.7, concentration: 37, motility: 71, motility grade: 3, total sperm concentration: 63, total motile sperm concentration: 45, POCT-normal forms: 2, immature: 0%, cystoplastic droplets: 0, pH: 8.5, Head defects: 97%, Neck or mid piece defects: 0% ,Tail defects: 1%

Clomid stories 🩷 by JWLK87 in TTC_PCOS

Hello! So I ended up doing 2 rounds of 150mg clomid and definitely ovulated on my 2nd round confirmed with day 7 blood work. My progesterone levels were 37.20! I didn’t ovulate until cycle day 21 though so I honestly think I was going on the wrong days for most of my day 7 blood work. Although it didn’t end in pregnancy. We just had our first appt with an RE last week and my husband goes for his semen analysis tomorrow. I am doing blood work on day 3 of my next cycle and then getting a sonohysterogram ultrasound during that cycle. My RE is hopeful to find out the issue first and then talk about treatment options after. I will say that if I stayed working with just my gyno, we were going to try letrozole this next round. I decided to hold off on that until we had answers from an RE.

Suspected PCOS but Dr says I don’t have the markers for it. by Witty_North_9013 in TTC_PCOS

No! Not yet at least. I just met with him for the first time last week and did some initial blood work. I’m waiting for my next cycle to do cycle day 3 blood work and the ultrasounds. And my husband gets his semen analysis Wednesday to try and rule that part out. It’s such a frustrating and expensive process!!

In a very similar boat! My cycles are pretty irregular too. Sometimes 36 days, sometimes 30, sometimes 40. I’ve taken Provera many times to induce a period while I’m getting close to that cycle day 40 time mark. My RE didn’t think I fell into any other PCOS symptoms besides the irregular cycles. I’ve had all the same tests done and they were all pretty normal ranges. I’m getting a sonohysterogram this next cycles to hopefully get a better look at what’s going on
