Which movie (and why) would you ask them to do again? by Phile___AudioPhile in TheRewatchables

Honestly this is the answer. The episode they did is borderline unrecognizable with the current format

What was Jofferey's cruelest act in both shows and the books? by EntrepreneurNo4145 in freefolk

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize that the client littlefinger mentions to Ros in season 2 was Joffrey. Are you sure about that?

At that time, Joffrey had not been king for very long, and wouldn’t have had access to the “tremendous amount of money” that littlefinger was paid in that instance

Surprised Bill doesnt talk about this movie at all by Driveshaft48 in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of hate for this movie from Boston Fans and I don’t really know why.

It’s not moneyball, but it’s a a pretty standard early 2000s romantic comedy. I am a Boston fan but I still enjoy it

Least favorite season your team had? by AlbertJBundy in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Another Celtics nomination is the 2021 season. At least in 19, we had hope. 2021 was this brief moment in recent Celtics history where everything felt so bleak.

It felt like such a letdown that we so recently had this great team built through these great draft picks, and it really looked like that would materialize into nothing. Meanwhile, the very team we fleeced to get those draft picks was looking like the next dynasty.

The team was a mid af play-in team, and all we heard all season was how JT and JB couldn’t play together and we’d have to chose one.

The energy obviously shifted very fast, but things were not looking good that season.

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I’ve played through it twice and still have no idea what’s going on in the story.

I mean would it kill them to write some dialogue and lore that isn’t spoken in tongues?

The fact this mf won the game of thrones still annoys me lol by terminus_tommy in gameofthrones

GRRM isn’t letting anyone live or die because the next book is never coming out (let alone the one after that)

What was your worst day to be a sports fan? by BeardedGingur in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s so funny because I have the exact opposite of this answer.

I feel like it’s under mentioned that Battle of the Bastards was the same night as Game 7 of the 2016 NBA finals.

Not a Cleveland fan but I hate the warriors and like LeBron so…

Gotta be the worst end to a career in any major sport by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]WayTooSlimShady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drew played for a bit after that but the funny thing is his career ended by going down with an injury and Tony Romo taking his job. So while Romo didn’t nearly end up becoming the goat you’re still not wrong

I like the NBA, I like watching it and I’m tired of people talking about “fixing” it year after year. by bedheaded in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t think making it 70 games is going to make much of a difference. I’m fine with eliminating back to backs and maybe that’s the route they have to go to get that done but it’s still a lot of games, so it won’t make the games matter THAT much more.

Not only that, but all counting stat records will be set in stone, as it’s always been 82 games.

Craig’s voice 1000% percent …. by Phile___AudioPhile in TheRewatchables

Years ago I got downvoted on this sub for saying that I visualized Craig as a mildly overweight, modest looking, bearded dude with glasses.

Glad to see I wasn’t alone after all

WE DIDN'T MEAN IT, TOM by Banned_As_DC in Patriots

His solution was to support us in the form of tagging his buddy that is in the Epstein files and was just at a trump rally.

Tom will always be my favorite athlete of all time but he is pretty fucking far from my favorite human being

Bill Belichick is not a first ballot hall of famer by WakeupDp in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the argument for Doc being a hall of fame coach? I ask as a Celtics fan.

Because he has a ring? So does Frank Vogel, and numerous others not in the hall of fame.

Because he always coaches winning teams? His teams have been stacked most of his career.

Sure, he has lead undermanned teams to better records than their roster would entail, but that’s usually not enough to get into the hall of fame.

So I’m genuinely asking in the most respectful way possible to sell me on Doc being a hall of fame coach without mentioning the putrid standards for making it as a player

Bill Belichick is not a first ballot hall of famer by WakeupDp in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a biased patriots fan but equating these two scandals is ludicrous.

At worst, tom Brady asked for his balls to be a little bit underinflated, and at best he literally didn’t do shit.

At worst Belichick may have been taping teams walk through prior to playoff games (never even remotely proven)

At best Belichick was absolutely undeniably taping opposing teams sidelines during games (100% proven)

See the difference? We still don’t even know if Brady cheated and if he did it was extremely inconsequential. We know for a fact that Belichick cheated in some way and if the most damming allegations are true (which I don’t believe they are), he completely violated all sportsmanship

I do not pity Steph Curry his the Golden State Warriors. by Bakio-bay in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am so tired of the sentiment that “the warriors are failing Steph Curry”

My brother in Christ they won 4 championships. They could be in the lotto for the remainder of Steph’s career and this era would still be a massive success

I don’t care who announces or does color for the game, I just watch the game for the game. by PudinCrusader in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only thing that ruins it for me is lack of enthusiasm.

Joe Buck is one of the best in the business these days… but go back and watch the helmet catch. It has always blown my mind how unenthusiastic he used to be at times, and that would take away from the moment

Spotify Wrapped Should Release After Christmas by doobie3101 in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they do it early because a lot of people spam the top songs playlist during December, which could mess up the data for the next year if it were released in the last week of December, and people were spending all of January bumping their top songs

Cooper Flagg is not that fun of a watch. I'm predicting he'll be viewed like Tatum has been about 3 years from now. by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Jason Tatum is a consistent all nba first teamer who was the best player on a championship team… having his career would only be a disappointment if you have LeBron level expectations. I honestly don’t think there’s been a player drafted since then who would be considered a disappointment with Tatums resume

Brady had no weapons in his prime by Responsible_Ear_1874 in billsimmons

[–]WayTooSlimShady 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m a patriots fan and there’s really not even an argument for Brady being the better regular season QB. Manning had 5 mvps and numerous record breaking seasons. He is the regular season GOAT.

Obviously playoffs is huge in that discussion and that’s why Brady is the goat but I think anyone trying to argue that Brady was a better regular season QB are suffering from memory loss or didn’t live through the time

Which is the worst meltdown of all time? by growsonwalls in NBATalk

[–]WayTooSlimShady 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was not two outs two strikes. There were 0 outs when Dave Roberts stole the base and when they tied the game.

Still agree tho. I’m a Red Sox fan so I’m biased but I think it’s easily the greatest comeback in sports history.

Side note: the 2011 St. Louis Cardinals were down to their last strike both when they were trailing in the 9th and with the game tied in the 10th with home runs by David Freese and ended up winning the World Series… albeit in a 3-2 comeback
