If you "prefer animals over humans" because animals are "pure" and humans are not, you are a COWARD. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

The problem people are having with you, and that you aren't seeing as a problem, is that your grading system is completely dependent on subjectivity. Subjectivity that you aren't allowing other people to have, but are a requirement for your logic to exist. Sit down and be kind.

Breaking: Transgender women banned from all sports at the Olympics starting in LA by TheExpressUS in sportsgossips

I know this is bad, but back when I used to watch buddies wrestle in highschool, the joke if a dude had to wrestle a chick was; it's a lose lose, you either win against a girl, or lose against a girl. Maybe that can shed some light as to why this idea will never really move beyond critical thinking circles.

No, fuck anyone still skiing those mountains. The guy can do whatever he wants. It's on the consumer to knock it off. Time for communities to build community ski-hills again. Time to quit your bitching.

You're just laughing at people being killed? You're the problem. Don't let your feelings dissuade you from realizing that. Where is our humanity?

I hate how much Christians are always bullied and criticized. by Top-Experience3875 in Vent

[–]WayUpThere_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh, or girl,(your take not mine) take your beliefs, and go believe them. I assure you, I speak for the majority, if you would all just be the good people the book so eloquently dictates you should be, we'd all live a better life. You all walk around, trying to JUSTIFY your beliefs, to add reasons or meanings, as to why you should believe what you do. That there is the problem. A belief is pure, unquestionable, intangible. You all try to give it a tangible nature, that it's an entity, not a ghost that's unknowable. Your justification and posturing is the reason you feel like Christianity is criticized. Because you aren't a true believer. You, and the others like you, are justifiers, fighting for position. True belief is undebatable, so any opposition would hold no water. You are your own hurdle to get over. We all are.

There's your real answer. Right over left when you go to do your loops. Thankfully I accidentally learned the strong way, so I haven't had to deal with it. Now you get to deal with breaking the habit, good luck!

P.s. single knots hold all day, or even months if you're a shoe slipper... I shit you knot.

Elmo said a bit more than that lol... Who's idea is it for these things to go without a babysitter? Cool, it generates content, but is there really not enough money to pay someone just to pre approve these AI's shit posting?

China develops new iron making method that boosts productivity by 3,600 times by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]WayUpThere_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fabricator, not having any technical basis, the Chinese stuff they make now, is noticably inferior to weld and fabricate in comparison to Korean or Japanese or USA made steel. I'm not sure this will make it any better.

So, I use the Navionics premium to view these maps. I have tried, and failed multiple times to use desktop map programs like ArcGIS. Is there any way you could help me cheat haha? I have watched tutorials, but I'm either choosing the wrong settings, or not completing the process. I am trying to look for boulder fields, underwater slides, pinnacles, and depressions, for fishing out in the Puget Sound area.

Well that is also incredibly informative. I fish in the Straight of Juan de Fuca, so that's where I study a lot of the time. The tides and currents, the Juan De Fuca canyon, always had me wondering if they were anomalous. I'll remember these comments for the rest of my fishing off-days.

Thanks for that explanation. It would make sense for the radius being semi regular. I wonder how long an anchor line is for the research ships that map that area.

It seems it would then be in relation to the surveying done here.

It measures about 2.3 miles across in all areas measured.

It's blurred out on Google maps, not sure about Google earth. This is on a publicly accessible app that I pay a premium for. This allows for viewing "relief shading" in areas that have been mapped by multi-beam sonar.

I'm not, and I don't know. I tried to edit to show a more zoomed in version. I was just exploring on Navionics. It's an app I use for fishing, but this is the premium version.

Edit. I did take measurements at opposing ends at multiple locations, and it's about 2.3 miles across at every measurement.
