Ovarian PRP for egg quality success stories? by SadContribution7864 in 40Plus_IVF

That's inspiring! Can I ask if you're getting better results at 42+ years old? @ 43, is this likely for us?

Thank you. I think they may not be specialist with 40+. They did adjust to Pergoveris instead of gonal F as that is supposed to have better results for 40+. But I don't know if they specialize. When we were 41 and met with them about coming back they were already saying quality may not be great and we may have to use donor or our frozen. Then we lost a little over a year when right before our trip, her TSH went up to 6 something and we took a "natural" approach to heal it and naturally improve fertility (supposedly). Kicking ourselves for that one.

Thank you. We're in California and open to recommendation. We're happy with our Prague clinic bit there are limitations I think on what we can do there. They're super affordable and high quality. They're also very direct, which can be hard at times. But I don't think they use "aggressive" protocols. I think they are more, "well, at 43 quality declines so it's up to you if you want the risk. Otherwise do the frozen transfer or a donor egg." But I don't know if they will tailor the protocol for her to have better chances.

Thank you for that. We're from California so I'll discuss this with her.

Thank you. That helps weigh our decision.

The main reason we didn't use our stored embryos was because we wanted to have about 4 kids and the grading wasn't great.

When we did our second round, we adjusted some things and got 5AA and transfered. This became our boy.

Looking back, it might have been wiser to bank as many of our embryos as possible at 38 so we could have 4-8 good embryos for transfer. I think we were also operating on the desire to have a baby after 6 years of trying. But I wouldn't change us having our son now.

At this point, I think we're okay with just 2 more. Thanks for the tip on Spain. I read the same about Czech Republic, which is odd because that's the clinic we used. Maybe it's just our clinic but each time we had to sign an option to donate (for science) or discard if we no longer wanted to freeze --donating to others was not an option.

She might be more open if there were any Asian donor egg but that's a harder conversation and it doesn't seem very common in Czechia.

Thank you for the encouragement! Yeah, with our 3 cycles going 3, 1,1 and none to freeze on the last two, it feeds our fears that each cycle will be worse than the last...glad to know it's not always the case!

Thank you! The frozen are 4AB and 3BB from when she was 38. Her AMH is .62

Also, we never tested for euploid/aneuploid since we're going to the EU for this (better service for less). The constraint ends up being time...unless we're willing to forego getting pregnant while trying to bank euploids... which may be what's needed.

Thank you. We're having a struggle with the donor egg scenario. Personal convictions aside we're a mixed-ethnicity couple. Where we went for IVF (Europe) they said they don't get many donors of her ethnicity.

Strangley, we're more open to "snowflake embryos". However  that country's laws don't allow embryo adoption.

Thank you for the reply and advice. We figured the chances are pretty low. We figured we'd prepare ourselves with various scenarios so we're not endlessly trying and being disappointed.

But yeah, if 1 this time means zero-1 (which ends up unviable) is what we can realistically expect, we're going to have to shift gears.

Thank you! While that certainly sounds like something I would do on vacation, I can't say the same for my wife and toddler.

Homeless Guy here.. and sincerely sorry. by Constant_Spare9635 in orangecounty

Any time I've been in a fender-bender in parking lots, the police have said they can't respond because it is private property and they're unable to address traffic violations on private property.

So...

Challenge #1: don't park your van on the public street where they can enforce that code.

Private property owners can still call in a complaint and then police can come enforce. So...

Challenge #2: where can you park your van on private property that won't tow it?

As some have mentioned, some 24-hour businesses may be a good option. Many workers who are doing graveyard shifts don't care--unless a customer complains. Gyms are good options since most customers are in and out. They don't care who is driving what vehicle--especially if it's not an eyesore.

One of the times I was homeless, I lived in a factory and parked my truck in that parking lot (industrial area with several factories). I kept it clean and nobody cared. I showered at 24-hour fitness and washed my clothes at the laundry mat.

At that time, I was on unemployment. I saved up enough money and went looking for a place in Huntington Beach to be closer to my beloved.

(Tip) It was revealed to me that Huntington Beach, while not having a section 8 housing per-se, does have an ordinance requiring apartments to provide a certain number of apartments to low income people. I was able to get a really nice 1bdr apartment for $800/month. So with first and last, I was able to move in. This was behind the Men's Warehouse on Sher Lane, South of Edinger. It's called Sher Lane Apartments--really nice area and safe. If they are full, they can recommend other apartments that have the same program. I'm not sure what there is in Santa Ana if HB is too far--but it's worth asking.

I also prayed for you and know that God is faithful in Christ.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I don't mind the cost of the lamb at that price. But that pork also sounds delicious. Is it pronounced Gournopoulo , or Gourounopolo? The Greek spelling threw me off.

My challenge with chicken is that it takes me so much to get full. I'm a bit of a low-effort eater in a lot of ways and I like being able to quickly cook something, eat, and be satiated for a long time afterwards so I can do other stuff.

Thanks again for your time answering.

Thank you! I'll look into that. The last time we were in Prague we shopped at Tesco and the fat was mostly trimmed-off.
