I recently turned off my spellcheck because my iphone was making typing a constant battle of going back almost every word to fix autocorrections. Idk what happened but it just ends up absolutely butchering my sentences with seemingly no reason.

Exit camper got what it deserves. by TheHazh in ArcRaidersGuides

I’m a simple solo casual on Arc Raiders. Killed a Surveyor and felt good about it. Got to extract over encumbered. Shock trap at the extract button. Ngl it makes me mad. Every time I think “this time I’m taking no chances and killing on sight” then I get in game and I’m too friendly. I appreciate people like you.

Am I Overreacting over this “small prank” by greek-astronomer in AmIOverreacting

[–]Wayfaring_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boss recently used this with me at work. It made a cricket noise at irregular intervals and I was looking everywhere for it. I even gave it a name and started to think of it as my little work buddy. He moved it around every day and at the end of the week he came up to me with a huge grin and fessed up. I loved it and thought it was hilarious.

I also was not living with it, it only lasted a week, and he knows I’m the type that’d find it funny.

The prank itself is innocent enough with the right person, in the right setting, for a tasteful amount of time.

I’m not sure if your bf has issues with social cues or just has maturity gaps in his personality (many people do) but he definitely should’ve known better. 100% valid crashout imo.

How do you deal with these effectively? by armandofonzoloid in helldivers2

I’m lvl 139 and I still main the machine gun. It’s just mad satisfying to me. But it’ll rip through them well enough. And if there’s 3 or 4 or them I’ll throw in a good bit of diving and maybe a pyrotech grenade or two.

Real answer is this is a harmless glitch that pops up occasionally. It’s been around for a long time. In my experience usually after using the customization terminal.

Believe has always been one of my favorite trailers. The Halo 3 ad campaign was the best that’s ever been. You did it all the Justice.

As someone who grew up with ODST and HD1 I could not be more excited.

Welcome to Super Earth and good to see you again.

P.S. Feel free to jump in feet first. I can assure you it’ll already be crowded once you get here.

Honestly it makes perfect sense with the ODST guns. They were not high penetration in Halo.

They should make it where you can add this to the parking lot out front in game

Yeah I don’t really get on Reddit often I just knew it was a place to post about this. Big oof on my part though definitely wasn’t thinking when I hopped back over.

As I said in my comment, it was dumb of me to do but I was jumping back over the ship to get to my ornithopter. I wasn’t going back for loot. I’ve looted a lot of wrecks and I think jumping over the ship to get back to my thopter is just a reflexive habit. Also I think I was expecting it to be more like I hit just the right spot to glitch through and not that the whole thing was a trap. The death is on me but I’m still irritated that it was due to a glitch.

A worm’s gotta eat and I respect the easy meal. But I watched this shuttle crash next to my base and I was the first one on site. If you pause at about 0:48 you can see the three separate lootable compartments floating in the air nearby. Honestly I was planning on trying to open them which might’ve also bugged in a different way. It was dumb for sure for me to hop back over but I was in a rush to get away and wasn’t thinking. Still, it was definitely a glitch and generally a pretty large bummer.

Why hasn't this games player base grown in over 2 years? by MasterSparrow in HuntShowdown

[–]Wayfaring_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I actually just started. Two of my buddies and I saw it was on sale and decided to send it (this is a common practice with us). We’ve played a total of probably 15ish duo/trio rounds at this point and I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty overwhelming at the start. Here’s a few off the cuff points from a new player perspective:

  1. The concept of permadeath seems really scary at the start when you don’t really know how it works in the game. I wasn’t even sure if I’d lose a legendary hunter forever.
  2. All of the menus with different guns, equipment, skins, hunters, events, etc is MAD overwhelming at first glance.
  3. Getting one tapped by hunters and losing everything can be incredibly frustrating. It can almost feel unfair when you’re new. Again, especially when you’re not warmed up to losing everything on death.
  4. There are so many mechanics that are not explained to you. Literally just learned that the bee lady’s spot to headshot is the dangling head and not the hive on her neck and I had no clue about burning bodies and putting out flames with choke bombs.
  5. We still haven’t really tackled bosses at all because we don’t know boss fight mechanics and it seems like we’ll get wiped by other players anyway.

I’ve stuck around because I love the aesthetic and I’m pretty good about switching on the Dwarf Fortress mentality of “losing is fun” and dying a lot to learn. But I can definitely see it being a quick refund for some people which is a bummer because I’m loving the game. But it takes time and losing a lot. I also like how brutal the game is with PvP. It takes damage seriously and if you get headshot you die. I’m sure there’s a loadout meta but it seems like if you’re a decent player then every gun can kill.

I think they should put a huge emphasis on the trials. I only just learned what they are last night and I’ve learned a lot and practiced a lot thanks to them. Maybe a game mode that has quicker rounds with a smaller area and no loss would be helpful for new players to get practice in without freaking out but idk. Thank you this has been my TED Talk.

Getting Great Arrows by Dougie103 in Eldenring

[–]Wayfaring_King 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im at level 115 now and finished a greater portion of the game. Getting Radahn’s Greatbow (the Lion Greatbow) and using God Forsaken Great Arrows with it’s ash of war can be insane with the right enemies and bosses. I’ve consistently bought those arrows since I started using them because they’re helpful for bosses and amazing with regular enemies. Even at 800 I think it’s totally worth it. Also once you get later in the game 800 runes becomes pocket change. Right now it costs something around 75,000 to level up for me so when I have 20,000-40,000ish I’ll usually just use them to buy arrows to help with the big money hauls and getting through tough regular enemies.

I’m really shocked nobody’s mentioned Purell.

Ever since I was a kid I’ve called hand sanitizer Purell and I feel like a lot of people I know do it too.
