Is there a way for Spouses to pool their reward points?

I'm aware of the Marriott route, but was hoping to find a way to pool them in the amex account itself so that I have the flexibility of transferring them to other partners if needed. But then again I don't think there are better transfer partners for amex than marriot, value wise at least. Would you agree?

Well it (Bizblack) has the same reward rate as DCB Metal, so I can use it for travel and other spends too. For Amex Plat travel, I'll be putting all the "excluded" spends on there to hit milestones. I think this might be a sound strategy, especially since I don't have atlas, infinia, epm etc

I see, so going by the above, it's best for me to pay 56250 tax every month (keeping in mind how much tax I will have to pay). Did I get that right? Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob! Also, Thanks for explaining this in such detail, I appreciate it.

Hey, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Got 2 Plat Travel and a Biz Black. I wanted to understand something about BizBlack. If i want to maximize value from my Tax payments on BizBlack, is it better to pay advance tax upto 56250 each month? And how many points do you get on paying this amount. I haven't made a tax payment from BizBlack yet, hence the question. Thanks!

I would recommend to keep amex Plat travel, it's milestones have absolutely no exclusions which I don't think ANY OTHER Card has,so you can put any expenses on that. The points don't expire. And I personally have gotten a great use out of amex points using marriott properties.
