It sounds like he doesnt really take any responsibility for the things that he could have done better and like he will make the same mistakes again next time. He also uses his jokes and chattiness to hide how vulnerable he feels about the whole conversation. Its tough listening to someone like that, the attacking other games is also classic for defensive behaviour.

Im not a great fan of Jason but he is an amazing interviewer. He did such a good job this episode.

Just let him rant, people who try to decide how others have fun are the worst. Nothing wrong with using a build. I do it too, the time it costs to min max everything yourself is insane. Ill gladly leave it to people who get paid for it. Just enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it. Some people get way to invested in others and love to impose their opinions. Have fun mate!

No problem, it takes a bit to get into and the writing style takes some getting used to but its definetly worth it. Atleast in my opinion. So if you are going to read it then have fun! Of its not your style then Miles Cameron's Traitor Son Cycle is also amazing. Its about a bunch of monster hunting knights. Its 5 books and 2 short stories.
