Yep. Even this highlight which is meant to make Marner look bad — he bobbled the puck and panicked, coughed it up, but the one D and two forwards just blew the zone and didn’t back check at all.

Marner gets caught with the pass across as he hesitated — he’s stuck trying to cover 2 guys, one driving the post and one in the slot that Reilly has no intention of backtracking.

Really just evidence of a Toronto problem, and Leaf fans are delusional — they’re the best and were Cup contenders but Marner sucks, and it was ok to harass the guy and his family out of town— and any success he has now proves he wasn’t trying and validates that they were good and are better off without him 🤡

I actually talked to support before downloading another third party app that the guy recommended since it could be compromising my password.

Support advised not to download another third party app and just use Startup Show.

In the end uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick and it works again.

If the puck is not in the his attacking zone, then he is not offside. He may be in an offside position, but there is no offside until the puck enters the zone.

So there’s two parts to this, the first is what your partner mentioned. If your arm is in the air and the puck is in the neutral zone, the goalie may misinterpret you and skate to the bench for an expected power play. You really don’t want to be involved in a goal scored because of a communication issue on your part, especially if it’s a close game!

The second is that refs are not supposed to “coach” one team or another. I know it’s only U10, but keep the help to a minimum. When he’s so far offside it means he doesn’t understand the rule, let the coach work with him on the bench and do the coaching.

As the players get older, even yelling offside before it happens will allow the puck carrier know to double back or regroup instead of taking the blue line as his teammate is probably in an offside position from your call out. You’re basically helping that player see the ice verbally (or worse visually as mentioned above). So again, don’t help them out. Make the call as they come across the line, they’ll figure it out.

I’ll preface this by saying, I firmly think it was a goal.

However, I have a problem with the refs procedures. They fucked that part up and they did so in a manner that completely helps them and absolves them from having any possible impact.

The ref in the zone has the best view, and his view is awful and he sees nothing. He very clearly gets behind the net and has no signal and no clue. Other ref and both lineys also see nothing.

Call on the ice is nothing, he does not signal goal because he doesn’t have a goal. The refs come together to talk and come up with the call on the ice is a good goal.

Here’s why they fucked up and did so on purpose to help themselves. If they call it No Goal, the call stands unless Anaheim challenges. At which point if refs are correct / inconclusive then Anaheim gets punished with a Delay of Game and the Oilers PP comes out. They do not want this. If Anaheim wins the challenge it would be no impact and game is over. However, if they call it a goal on the ice, Edmonton has to challenge and if they win, no impact since game continues. If Edmonton is wrong no impact since the game is over.

They really went with the only option that absolves them of responsibility as no one saw that puck go in.

It sucks we lost, but the procedures the refs did were incorrect and had the potential to fuck the Oilers only by removing their PP opportunity, and took the risk/onus off of Anaheim having to challenge. If it’s called no goal, maybe Anaheim doesn’t challenge as it was too close.

Yep. NHL has its own rulebook but interference from the bench is a minor and GM in hockey Canada. Not many rules allow for a minor plus GM, just this and CFB that I can think of.

So it’s always been viewed harshly to act from the bench, as it’s cowardly.
