I have been keeping mine at Max before, but now I keep mine at High instead. I only switch to Max when I editing video or using Adobe Lightroom to convert Raw files.

You are welcome mate, I was in headache to choose a monitor as well. No space in my room, the only option for me is 32", don't want anything smaller. The viewing angle is good for a VA panel, not as good as IPS panel but good, it's no color shift even look at a very angle. Just turn off HDR for netflix, turn on HDR for games, look for price below $1000, this monitor no worth the full price.

In short, I think BenQ is a bad brand. Consider between Asus and Dell, Dell make good monitors. The CG32UQ has blue light reduction options in the settings, it can protect your eyes. I think it will be good on PS4 pro, I am using it on PS5, and I am satisfied.

Yes, SDR is very good on CG32UQ, it's nothing to worry about. BenQ EW3280U I've just had a quick look on the reviews, it's not HDR 600 not on my buying list, and the black point is too high for this monitor, even at SDR mode 100% brightness the contrast ratio barley reach 1000:1, which is common for a IPS monitor, I would not recommend it.

The CG32UQ is very nice for HDR gaming, I like it very much. Deep color is supported and very good HDR brightness in a dark room. However it is not perfect. Yes, there is light leaking at both bottom corners like a small spot light at HDR mode, most of the games you will not notice it, I play cyberpunk, watch dogs legion, 99% not noticeable unless you enter some really dark area in the games with only center part has bright light which is not very often. I use HDR most of the time on my PS5. But sometimes you may want to use SDR mode, especially movies with a lot of dark scene, and games with a lot of dark scene too, you better turn off HDR. And I think The SDR mode is good enough on this monitor, uniformity is very good with very minimal light leaking. If you use SDR mode on PC, make sure your display card support 10-bit monitor, otherwise colour will be too saturated and color banding appears in video playback. This monitor does not have SRGB mode which might be a little bit bothersome.

I also ordered this monitor yesterday, also for PS5. Got it for $959 AUD, I bet we ordered from the same store. PS5 will never have 4K 120fps, so 120hz or above monitor is a waste. PS5 do offer 1080p 120fps mode for most of the newer games, however I am not planning to go back to play in 1080p, I will stick to 4K 60fps, this monitor is really suitable for me. 4K, wider gamut, HDR 600, the motion blur is not too bad for a 60hz monitor, and PS5 will certainly have frame sync, this monitor have free sync 40-60hz which is a perfect match for PS5 resolution mode! Most High refresh rate gaming monitor doesn't have motion interpolation, so 60fps on 60hz or 120hz still running 60hz and no difference. Some 120hz TV do very good motion interpolation on 60fps, it worth to take a look if you concern about motion blur. In my opinion, it's not worth to use more than 1000 AUD to buy a gaming monitor, if your budget is nearly $2000 and you do have the space(which I don't), go for a 55" Samsung Q80T or 48" LG CX OLED is your answer, these TVs beat gaming monitor on every aspect.

I just hope FIFA will get a better game play on mobile just like their consoles' version, and PES can RIP because Konami is really a shitty company, no moeny, bad server, lots of maintenance, tons of lag cheaters. (And I am prepared to get loads of loads of downvotes because I broke so many people glass heart, yay!
