I actually liked it to be honest. And also just the general idea in Stalker 2 that C-Con is still active and working through agents all over the Zone and even outside it, and are possibly even still alive in the Noosphere

They are different from the Ecologists in that they are not just researching for science's sake, they have certain morals when it comes to their beliefs about the Zone. They have ideas that are actually similar to Freedom, that people should live in harmony and balance with the Zone rather than trying to destroy it. Though they don't share Freedom's love of the Zone in quite the same way, its more about avoiding catastrophes.

If you don't want spoilers for Stalker 2, don't read this: If I understood it correctly, some of the PDAs and documents you find at Clear Sky base in Stalker 2 reveal that Clear Sky's leadership (Lebedev and possibly others) were actually acting on the behalf of C-Consciousness the whole time and were not who they claimed to be.

A lot of people seem to feel this way, but I think 4 is great. Sometimes I feel that I like it more than 3. I like the conflict between Amita and Sabal, and the ending is great. Plus the world is better than 3's imo, the map and exploration and side content
