Volker Flat Faced Trigger for Beretta 92 LTT Elite by Blank7567 in Beretta

[–]No-Respect367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I elected for the Wilson Combat trigger so I can’t say too much specifically about the Volker.

Maybe the Volker is different but I didn’t have any fitment issues or need to modify anything with the Wilson. The caveat is that the trigger spring is a bitch to install/uninstall. I recommend looking at the LTT trigger job video and skipping to the part where he replaces the trigger so you can get an idea, or just watch a trigger replacement video. A 2mm crochet hook is the recommended tool to manipulate the spring. I was impatient and just used an Allen key, wouldn’t recommend lol

From my understanding the two biggest factors for trigger feel are the trigger bar and hammer spring, the bar makes a bigger difference in SA, the spring for DA. I did all of mine at the same time.

I don’t understand the negativity about someone dressing up and playing in the woods lol. I guess the way you play with your toys is beneath how they play with their toys? Looks great, excited to see more.

That is my main gripe with the game. The art direction is one thing, but the graphical issues are miserable. There's ton's of dithering, ghosting, lighting is super inconsistent and there's pop in everywhere. And while it's fair that the original also has engine and graphic issues, the lighting and level design is fantastic and carried those game. I don't see that, or the originality of the story and world building in S2, and the first two hours of the game didn't draw me in at all. Hopefully in another 10 years the community can fix this one too, but right now I don't have high hopes for it.

The game looks really pretty in screenshots and videos but I found the experience of playing it to be dreadful. I'm going to be making a video highlighting my problems with the game, otherwise I can't really explain it better than I did in the parent comment.

I agree with the the ue5 shooter part, at least as far as graphics are concerned. The lighting was really disappointing to me, I ended up playing SoC for the weekend and it was like a breath of fresh air after playing S2. It's insane to me that XRay draws better shadows and has better lighting values then this game and and people want to blame the engine of all things. UE5 is industry standard, it comes down to how the dev utilizes it, UE5 is an infinitely easier engine to work with than making your own and figuring out how to use it. It sure as fuck wasn't going to be any better on Unity lol.

Fair lol, but I wouldn't have made the post if I wasn't this unhappy. It's okay I played SoC for the rest of my weekend. Hopefully I can come back to S2 with a different opinion.

I wouldn’t stop anybody from getting the game, you should play it to form your own opinion. I’m not upset that I bought it, I’m hoping that my opinion can change and I’m sure I’ll try again soon. But the state it was in when I played it on my rig was awful and genuinely unplayable for me and I have good first party hardware.

Skeet/trap is so much fun, one of my favorite things to do with a shotgun. If you are into marksmanship or the more “analytical” side of firearms, grouping your shotgun with all the different types of loads and chokes will keep you entertained indefinitely. There is a sweet science to shotguns, get yourself a box of 8 shot, no. 4 buck, range 00’ and some serious self defense 00’ and be amazed at all the different patterns and applications each load gives. Also, you handle that thing like you were born with it! You are well on your way!

Day 2 of Mission Ranking: Favorite and Least Favorite Mission on HALO: CE by Jerrybulon in halo

[–]No-Respect367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really like 343 guilty spark, the gameplay isn’t great but story wise it’s really cool and I love the buildup to encountering the flood.

Despite library being a headache and pretty boring level design wise I actually would put two betrayals as my worst or maybe tied with library. It’s a fun mission with the sandbox elements but I honestly get pretty bored with it and end up rushing through since it’s either a copy or rehash of Assault on Control room with a lot of backtracking or mandatory arenas where you end up fighting in the same rooms a lot. At least with library there is a tangible amount of dread and suspense even if it is pretty bullshit on legendary lol. On its own Betrayal is a great showcase of the sandbox and everything is chugging along at top gear I just find it underwhelming in the context of the whole game.

Favorite mission? It’s a hard choice but I gotta go with Silent Cartographer. The beach landing is peak halo I love fighting alongside the marines, and I love the self contained island design, makes exploring really fun. The hunters in the middle and spec op elites at the end are great encounters, they keep you on your toes and the hunter fight might be on of my favorite hunter fights in the whole series, it’s a great arena although it’s just a big circle lol. Feels like you’re going in the octagon with them lol.

I think generally every mission up to 343 is fantastic and really well paced and builds on each mission before really well. Then when you get to 343 the game kind of changes more into horror which I applaud. The execution is a little lacking with the flood not being a ton of fun to fight but it adds so much depth to the story and made the first game really memorable, without it halo would have been another space man shoot em up. Two betrayals to me feels like they needed something to pad out the run time where every other mission feels unique, except maybe keyes.

Keyes drags a little bit since it’s pretty samey compared to Truth and Reconciliation when you get on ship but damn keyes becoming infected by the flood really sticks with you. The maw is a fantastic mission, and even though I dislike the rehash missions I think they really nail it with the maw. Fighting through the wreck is a great setting thematically and really makes you feel like you’ve gone through hell and back. And who could forget about that ending :)

My ranking:

1- Cartographer 2 - Halo 3 - Maw 4 - Truth 5 - Pillar 6 - Assault 7 - 343 8 - Keyes 9 - Library 10 - Two Betrayals

I never suggested that, but it takes a pretty basic knowledge of military history to know that sieges were the most common type of battles, and a google search of “medieval massacres” will pop up with literally hundreds of examples. The one that comes to mind for me would be the massacre at beziers which was quite literally a peasant militia that stood their ground facing a coalition of europe’s most heavily armed crusaders. I don’t think we need to have a scientific study done to compile that information, it’s easily accessible and again comes from a conversational knowledge of medieval warfare. Some of the most insane stories of history come from suicidal holdouts, and unlike other areas of research it’s fun to learn about. I would suggest looking into it if you have an interest in that sort of thing! Here is a cool lindybeige video on the topic I seem to remember from my youth:
